MSNBC contributor and former Obama administration official Jeremy Bash said Robert Mueller's appearance before the House Judiciary Committee "sucked the life out of the report" and "set back" efforts to impeach President Donald Trump.

Bash made the comments Wednesday on MSNBC between Mueller's two testimonies.

"I have to say that far from breathing life into the report, he kind of sucked the life out of the report," Bash said in a video posted by the GOP War Room. "I thought he was boring. I thought in some cases he was sort of evasive, he didn't want to explain or expand on his rationale. He seemed lost at times, he was kind of flipping through the report trying to find passages that members of Congress were reading to him."

Bash hit Mueller over his lack of passion and failure to address many questions head-on as the former special counsel prepared for the second of his testimonies on Capitol Hill. Mueller testified in front of the House Intelligence Committee Wednesday afternoon.

Bash specifically criticized Mueller's "ineffective defense of his own work," saying that Mueller should have shown more passion and stated more explicitly that President Trump's behavior during and after the 2016 election was "concerning."

"I fear that this hearing set back efforts to hold the president accountable for what the president did, and also hold ultimately Russia accountable for what they did."

Okay so on our news he gets asked - Was Trump innocent of collusion? No.

Then - Will he be indicted? No.

Then - These findings won't lead to charges against the president sitting in office.

No wonder both sides were frustrated with the outcome. You can't be sorta pregnant in this case. Two year investigation, 400+ page report and let's be neutral?

Are you seeing this the same way?

He heavily implies there was wrongdoing and then backs off so far it looks suspicious.

I'm not siding with dems or R's, just wanted to know what actually happened.

I mean if I was investigating Trump I'd be petrified about releasing negative results on any issue, especially vote tampering  People get disappeared for less.
