BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A woman told Bowling Green police that a man at Sugar Maple Square was naked, turned towards her and shook his body making his penis shake.
The same woman also said the man walked into a coin-operated laundry nude. A small child was present.
When police made contact with Darrell Morgan, 55, Friday morning at the shopping center he told police that he didn’t know why he took off his clothes, according to his arrest citation. He said he becomes sexually aroused from exposing himself.
Morgan also told police he has sexual thoughts involving children, according to his citation. One day prior to this arrest, Morgan was cited on a public intoxication charge and treated at a local hospital.
Morgan said when he was released from the hospital, he hid in a dumpster near a church to avoid the children and said he was attracted to them, according to his citation.
Morgan’s roommates told police that he has been naked on a previous occasion on Fair Street in front of children, according to his citation.
Numerous people were at Sugar Maple Square during the Friday incident, and a daycare was within feet of Morgan, police noted in his arrest citation.
He was charged with second-degree indecent exposure and second-degree disorderly conduct.
Morgan was arraigned Monday in Warren District Court. A pretrial conference in his case is set for Aug. 26.
Warren District Judge Brent Potter set his bond Monday at $500.
