A Florida teen targeted her parents in an alleged murder-for-hire plot that she funded with their money, police said this week.

Alyssa Hatcher, 17, was arrested Tuesday on two counts of criminal solicitation for murder after investigators say the teen stole her parents’ debit card and made two different transactions, withdrawing cash to pay two different people to kill them.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office says a witness told police that Hatcher gave her friend “a lot of money” to find someone to kill her parents, according to an arrest affidavit.

Hatcher’s boyfriend had told police he saw Hatcher Monday morning “at a known drug house” where she told him “she wanted to kill her parents,” the affidavit says.

That same day, Hatcher made an Instagram post that included a photo of herself smiling with the cryptic caption, “Ruthless” and a smiley face, the Tampa Bay Times reported.

It was revealed that Hatcher, using her parents’ pilfered debit card, made two transactions — one for $503 and another for $926.40.

She was arrested by the Umatilla Police Department for the theft of the card.

While being interviewed by police, Hatcher admitted to stealing the card and making the transactions.

She went on to say she used $100 to buy cocaine and gave $400 to her friend to give to someone to kill her parents, according to the affidavit.

Hatcher said that since the murder was never carried out, she gave the other $900 “to a black male to kill her parents,” police said.

Sgt. Fred Jones of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said investigators were trying to figure out a motive.

“There were people who were saying on social media how much she hates her parents,” Jones said, according to ClickOrlando.com.

“There’s nothing that your parents can do — being you’re grounded, your cars taken away, you can’t go to the prom or wherever — for you to get to this point,” said Jones, the news outlet reported.

Hatcher was booked at the Lake County Jail, where she was processed and turned over to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
