23-year-old tourist Samantha Oliveri is charged with domestic assault after her boyfriend says she struck him in the face after a cougar was flirting with him at Winners Bar & Grill in downtown Nashville.

23-year old Samantha Oliveri and her boyfriend, Kenny Arnao, are visiting Nashville from Brockton, Massachusetts. Shortly before 1 a.m. Monday morning, Metro Police observed them arguing the TigerMart parking lot on Broadway and check on their situation. They were separated and interviewed individually, at which time the boyfriend explained that his girlfriend, Samantha Oliveri, struck him in the face during the argument, which began because an “older woman” had been flirting with Kenny while they were at Winners Bar. Samantha is said to have become upset because Kenny talked with the cougar that was flirting with him.
The victim did not want to prosecute, however, based on his initial statement, and a visibly swollen left cheek, police prosecuted on his behalf. Samantha denied striking the victim to police during an interview. She was booked on the charge of domestic assault and posted a $1,000 bond after the state-mandated 12-hour domestic violence hold. She is scheduled to appear in court in October.
