This is awesome, happy for the guy. I imagine it wasn't easy to let such a beautiful watch sit in a deposit box all those years after paying a month of your hard earned military wages for it, but man did that pay off.

What a crock of shit. These roadshows are complete BS.. It's a bunch of antique dealers trying to inflate a market for their own personal gain... They were busted for doing exactly that a few years ago and the show was taken off the air.. I have inherited jewelry that appraises for 25-30k a piece.. Guess what.. Show me a buyer!!! Very rarely that you find a buyer.. Appraisal value means nothing if you don't have someone to purchase it.

Wow, somebody's bitter. Just because something is declared to be a certain value doesn't mean somebody else is gonna pay that much for it, or even buy it at all. If you have stuff nobody else wants, then it doesn't matter how much it's declared to be worth, you're not gonna sell it.
