It's not even so much the nudity, it's that every single PG-13 "horror" film relies on nothing but cheap jump scares. It's old and played and you can almost always see them coming. Being surprised by something isn't the same as the feeling of dread and horror in the old school R rated horror films.

An old feel good tv show from the 70s turned into a horror movie?

Can't wait for the Love Boat version. Maybe they'll make that one NC-17.
