PLACER COUNTY, Calif. (KTXL) — A Roseville man was arrested after a bizarre home invasion.

Police say 28-year-old James Nunley II is suspected of sneaking into a family’s home and bathing himself before being discovered and later arrested.

Although police are not releasing exactly which neighborhood it happened in, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office says the incident took place early Wednesday morning.

At the time, the victims — a family — were putting their child to sleep.

That’s when deputies believe Nunley entered the home through an unlocked door.

Nunley then hid in the home for some time and, according to deputies, he used the family’s bathroom to bathe himself.

Later, as he left that bathroom, he was caught by one of the victims and ran out of the house.

But a short time later, he was caught by deputies and arrested for burglary and booked at the South Placer County Jail on a $110,000 bail.

However, the sheriff’s office says Nunley was later found to be on probation out of Placer County, meaning he’s now ineligible for bail.
