The classic muscle cars!

Mustang, GTO, Charger, Challenger, Camaro, Firebird, Barracuda....... endless list, most of them with that epic sounding V8 :homer: The V8 is just the best sounding engine of all time :wank:

Do any of you guys own a classic muscle car? :-k I'm guessing most of them are probably not as nice to own/drive as they are to look at and listen to

My Mustang isn't really a "classic" even though it's 35 years old. I'm partial to the 60's myself but the prices are outrageous now. Should have gotten something 30+ years ago.

Way back when I did know of a Chevelle RS SS (pretty rare) fully restored, everything re chromed but the whole car was in boxes except the body and frame. Numbers matched big block. The guy got it almost done and ran out of money, ended up selling it disassembled for cheap.

I just posted a pic of mine in the mustang thread over there a short while ago. Still pissed about my read window  and I still have yet to take the dash out and put in the new airbox/heater&ac core, pain in my ass...havent been driving it while its super hot because no AC and the jackass that put the engine in neglected to put grounds on the fkn engine, so if it gets hot then it wont start...I'll get around to fixing that

A guy in my class in high school had one of these. His dad was one of the richer people in our small little town and bought it for him when he got his license.

Not currently unless you count my 2015 Camaro. Yes, its v8, and 6 speed manual.
As for classics, I've had a 68 Camaro, and a 73 Challenger. I've also had a 73 mustang 2 v8, a 87 mustang, an 90 Camaro,and a 99 Camaro. All v8. My trucks have even had v8 motors. 76 Chevrolet step side, 03 Ram quad cab, and currently a 15 Silverado crew cab.
An oddball was a 68 AMC Ambassador with a v8.
My very first car was the 73 mustang 2. I got it at 14.

I always wanted a 69 Mustang fastback. I'd prefer a base 6 cyl, because I'd modify the shit out of it. I'd love to have my old 68 Camaro back too.

The one that never was....long story short, I had the opportunity at 16yo to buy a 1964 1/2 mustang coupe. 2 barrel 289 v8, auto transmission, factory am/fm AND air conditioning. The guy wanted $800 for it. At 16, I didn't realize it was a first year stang, thought it was a 65/66 (the seller didn't know either) so, since the passenger skin was split open horizontally, I walked away.....
