Minnesota Democrat Running For State House Asks Crowd If ‘We Give A F**k About Burning’ Town Down

A Democrat running for state House in Minnesota asked a crowd if “we give a f*ck about burning” down a town during a Black Lives Matter rally on Friday.

John Thompson’s campaign has been supported by Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Minnesota’s Democratic Farmer Labor Party (DFL).

On Friday, Thompson attended a rally outside the home of Minneapolis Police Chief Union President, Bob Kroll in Hugo, Minnesota, where he delivered a roughly 10-minute speech laden with profanities and violent rhetoric.

His remarks were captured by reporters with Alpha News and Unicorn Riot.

“We coming. We coming for everything that you motherfuckers took from us. We coming for them [congressional] seats, we coming for the money you owe us. This whole goddamn state burned down for 20 goddamn dollars, you think we give a fuck about burning Hugo down?” he asked.

Thompson’s mention of $20 is likely a reference to the counterfeit $20 that George Floyd allegedly attempted to pass in Minneapolis, prompting the encounter with police which ultimately ended his life.

He also spoke directly to residents of Kroll’s neighborhood, who looked on at the rally from their driveways.

“Y’all got the Grand Wizard living in your goddamn neighborhood,” he told one family. “Fuck your mutherfucking peace, white racist motherfuckers,” he said.

“Take that sign, and stick it up your ass,” he yelled at another neighborhood resident who held an American flag with a blue stripe designed to show support for the police.

Thompson can also be seen yelling at a group of teenage girls in a video recorded and posted to Twitter by Alpha News.

“You ain’t never seen a legislator like this before,” he added at one point during his remarks, shortly before a woman wearing a red cross made from tape wafted him with smoke from what appears to be a bundle of sage.

Thompson was joined by roughly 100 other protesters at Friday’s rally outside Kroll’s home.

The protesters arrived in Kroll’s Hugo neighborhood via an organized caravan of vehicles as organizers blocked traffic, according to an Alpha News reporter.

Other than the Capitol District part of D.C., as Griff said, it's a democrat run can controlled city and has been for decades. It's the whole reason the democrats want to make DC a state, so they can guarantee themselves 2 more democrat senators in the US Senate.

My experience of DC includes staying at a local hotel close to the airport, being picked up and driven around, opening a bank account in the city, checking out the touristy stuff, going shopping at the big stores (massive). Absolutely nothing to warrant any concern :dunno:

I'll agree that the gun owners have been largely well-behaved thus far. I was probably incorrect to characterize it as a left right thing. I think it's more complicated and almost every left-wing friend and family friend I know would find that kind of rioting disgusting.

Ironically, we would have handled it much more savagely here, so I'm not sure what's going on with the kid gloves in the US. Perhaps from experience it's better not to confront too directly or just keeps going and going.

Griff had it right, the democrats in the cities where this shit is taking place are all the ones telling the police to stand down and purposefully allowing this to happen. Backlash is exactly what they hoped would happen, and there's progressives out there that were actually pissed that "us crazy alt righters" didnt immediately fall for the trap and take up arms. This is basically exactly why the Qanon project exists, it was designed to help prevent otherwise patriotic americans from responding in a less than desirable fashion. Civil war is exactly what they want for the USA, they would rather destroy it than let the USA be controlled by actual patriotic americans.

I know. Not undermining that, but I meant during the protests.

They dragged out this bedraggled poor white loser cause he was an easy target. There were lots of other newer cars with people in them not being touched. If they had dragged out a white middle class family, a wife and kids something like that and if one of them were seriously injured or killed I truly believe we would have National Guard in there within 2 days.

In terms of human toll this stuff has been remarkably tame up until now.
