Bakersfield, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Bakersfield Police Department said a man was killed after being run over in a McDonald's drive-thru Sunday night.
It happened around 9:30 p.m. at the restaurant located at 4601 Coffee Road.
Police said, when they arrived they found a man pinned under a vehicle in the drive-thru.
Officers were able to get the man from underneath the vehicle and began performing first-aid.
He was pronounced dead shortly after the ambulance arrived on the scene.
Investigators determined that the man was lying down in the thru and the driver didn't see him before running him over.
Drugs or alcohol don't appear to be a fact in the crash. The driver remained on the scene and cooperated with investigators.
