Easy question here - what review websites do you guys like and trust most for tech review? Ie. "Best 4K TV Under $1,000" type thing?

There are so many these days and I feel like a lot of them are sponsored or somehow compromised and advertise weird Chinese brands these days.

Pcmag

NYT wirecutter if you want to cut to chase

Techradar

Rtings.com is great for detail

Individual user reviews on reddit can be great

My final advice is to hone down a short list and then read all the reviews! Look for little unexpected criticisms etc.

I also recommend if you're looking along the lines of gadgets "unbox therapy" videos on YouTube. It's kind of fun and you get to see them play and try the stuff. The guy is actually quite detailed too. He'll compare old and new and every single little detail for a gadget.

Canadian too! :)

Tbh, I don't have a particular site. I usually just research the part # of what I'm interested in, and take all reviews with a healthy grain of salt.

I will echo PC Mag as well, but also I like c|net, Ars Technica, and PC World as well. ZD Net can be good too.

It costs, but 'Consumer Reports' doesn't take any advertising dollars so they are supposed to be unbiased reviews.

I usually just google and open a handful of tabs of sites that look legit, scroll through all of them and If I see a couple items at the top 5 of EVERY list I dig deeper into reviews on those items.
