A hungry millionaire shelled out £2,000 to charter a helicopter so he could get McDonald’s.

Lavish Viktor Martynov paid for the chopper so he and his girlfriend could eat “normal” food whilst on holiday in Crimea.

Western companies like McDoanld’s are banned from operating in the Crimean peninsula, which Russian president Vladimir Putin seized from Ukraine in 2014.

But the starving high roller was so desperate for food from the golden arches that he took matters into his own hands.

Overcome with cravings for shakes and Big Macs, Martynov flew 450 miles to pick up his order from Krasnodar, the nearest Russian city with his beloved fast food.

The two-hour ride set the private yacht tycoon back a whopping £2,000.

And he spared no expense with his order either.

He ordered a £49 feast including burgers, fries and milkshakes – and he took his time with his meal, opting to eat-in.

The satisfied customer said: “This is how it was – I was on holiday with my girlfriend in Alushta.

“We had a craving for normal Moscow food...

"We decided to board a helicopter, fly to Krasnodar and go to McDonalds.

"We had a meal there and got back."

The charter company said they had never previously been called out on such a mission.

"Usually our tourists charter helicopters to go for a tour, or to meet guests," said a source.

I hope he ate it in the nearest slum while hungry children watched.

Wouldn't be hard to do in Russia.

I'm confused why we know about this. Did he brag about it by choice, or did someone just rat on the guy for spending his money how he wanted to? What a twat if it's the former.
