Yeah, they really went on a spending spree for those opening action scenes. Completely unnecessary actually, lol. and in my opinion isn't really valuable when you haven't built up any sort of relationship with the characters.

I haven't watched it yet, but I believe they established Sam and Bucky's relationship in Captain America: Civil War. Think two guys who aren't very fond of each other that hang out with the mutual awesome friend (Steve Rogers). Now take mutual awesome friend away and keep the two guys together and see what happens.
