A woman has bled to death after a man allegedly chopped her arm off with broken glass on a first date.
The pair are said to have only met two days previously. Police were called to investigate after neighbours reported screams and the sound of broken glass in the flat belonging to welder Serkan Dindar, 38, in the Turkish city of Izmir.
Ceyda Yuksel, 28, was found dead inside and Dindar is accused of killing her after getting drunk.
It is claimed that Ceyda's right arm was almost completely severed and she had glass cuts all over her body.
Her body was sent to the morgue of the Izmir Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy.

According to reports, Ceyda had met Dindar on social media two days before she died and travelled to Izmir from the city of Samsun, which is more than 1,000km away.
Following an investigation by prosecutors, a case was filed at the Izmir 6th High Criminal Court recommending up to 24 years in prison for "deliberate murder".
Dindar denies killing Ceyda.
According to local media reports, he said: "I was in the garden during the incident. Meanwhile, I heard Ceyda screaming and the sound of glass breaking.

"When I went in, I saw her right arm was covered in blood. I immediately called the emergency services.
"We met on social media. I invited her to my house. We argued that day.
"I was drunk, and I don't remember why we argued, but I didn't hurt her."
Ceyda's mum Filiz Demiral said: "My daughter was full of life. I do not think she could have committed suicide.

"I think that the accused wanted to harass my daughter sexually, and he did this when my daughter did not allow him."
The case has been postponed to a later date.
