US Republican Senate leader Mitch McConnell calls Marjorie Taylor Greene's 'loony lies' a 'cancer' (https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-02-02/democrats-bid-to-remove-marjorie-taylor-greene-from-committees/13112588)

US Republican Senate leader Mitch McConnell has denounced newly elected House of Representatives Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene, calling the far-right Georgian politician's staunch belief in conspiracy theories and "loony lies" a "cancer" for the party.

"Loony lies and conspiracy theories are cancer for the Republican Party and our country," Senator McConnell said.

"Somebody who's suggested that perhaps no airplane hit the Pentagon on 9/11, that horrifying school shootings were pre-staged, and that the Clintons crashed JFK Jr's airplane is not living in reality.

"This has nothing to do with the challenges facing American families or the robust debates on substance that can strengthen our party."

Ms Greene hit back via social media, saying the "real cancer for the Republican Party is weak Republicans who only know how to lose gracefully".

"This is why we are losing our country," she posted to Twitter.

The statement comes as Democrats in the House were mounting an effort to formally rebuke Ms Greene, who has a history of making racist remarks, embracing conspiracy theories and endorsing violence directed at Democrats.

https://i.imgur.com/iQl3YR2.jpg

It also puts pressure on House Republican leaders to discipline her.

Democrats plan to send a resolution to the House floor on Wednesday local time that would strip Ms Greene of assignments on the House education and budget committees, if House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy does not do so first.

"It is my hope and expectation that Republicans will do the right thing and hold Ms Greene accountable, and we will not need to consider this resolution," said House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer.

"But we are prepared to do so if necessary."

Some Democrats have called for going further and expelling Ms Greene from the House — an unlikely outcome that would require backing from Republicans, since expulsion requires a two-thirds vote.

Another option is censure.

Greene remains defiant as Democrats attempt to confront the far right

Scott Morrison risks facing political danger in post-coronavirus vaccine Australia
(https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-02-02/scott-morrison-political-dilemma-election-covid-19-vaccine/13109674)

Imagine it's September 2021 and Scott Morrison's done what some suspected he always intended doing: using the six-week spring parliamentary break to call a federal election for October.

Yes, he'd claimed to be a "full-termer" and was instead going to the polls early, but the Prime Minister would parry impertinent questions from journalists about this sudden change of heart by positing what's really at stake.

"This election — the 2021 election — is about who has the best plan for the post-COVID recovery," he'd say.

Fox News barely covers McConnell’s scathing statement about Marjorie Taylor Greene (https://www.msn.com/en-au/news/politics/fox-news-barely-covers-mcconnell-s-scathing-statement-about-marjorie-taylor-greene/ar-BB1dkm0M?ocid=msedgdhp)

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell released a statement Monday evening describing the conspiracy theories (https://www.vox.com/22254103/marjorie-taylor-greene-david-hogg-obama-hillary-facebook-posts) embraced by first-term, QAnon-supporting Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) as “cancer for the Republican Party and our country.” But Fox News viewers might’ve had a hard time learning about this remarkable bit of Republican infighting because it got very little play on the conservative network.

“Loony lies and conspiracy theories are cancer for the Republican Party and our country,” McConnell said in the statement, which doesn’t mention Greene by name but leaves no doubt about to whom he’s referring. “Somebody who’s suggested that perhaps no airplane hit the Pentagon on 9/11, that horrifying school shootings were pre-staged, and that the Clintons crashed JFK Jr.’s airplane is not living in reality.”

Fox News loves covering Democratic disarray (https://twitter.com/atrupar/status/1063411389639868416) but didn’t so much as mention McConnell’s statement until the 10 o’clock hour Tuesday morning. It was brought up on Maria Bartiromo’s show on Fox Business, Fox News’s sister network, but even then Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), who was on for an interview, used it as a cudgel to attack Democrats for alleged hypocrisy.

On the occasions Fox News has brought up Greene, hosts go to pains to avoid detailing the unhinged conspiracy theories she’s embraced, which range from Democrats’ involvement in a Satanic pedophelia cult to the notion that space lasers controlled by Jews (https://nymag.com/intelligencer/article/marjorie-taylor-greene-qanon-wildfires-space-laser-rothschild-execute.html) are responsible for forest fires in California.

Dolly Parton says she turned down Trump's offer of the Presidential Medal of Freedom — twice (https://www.msn.com/en-au/news/world/dolly-parton-says-she-turned-down-trump-s-offer-of-the-presidential-medal-of-freedom-twice/ar-BB1diTSC?ocid=msedgdhp)

https://i.imgur.com/xaUrAIn.jpg

The country music legend told The Today Show that Trump offered her the Presidential Medal of Freedom twice.

Both times she turned it down, citing family illness and COVID.

The Biden administration has also approached her about the award, but she said she didn't want to be perceived as "doing politics."

Dolly Parton revealed to The Today Show that she was offered the Presidential Medal of Freedom by former President Donald Trump on two separate occasions but had to beg off both times. "I couldn't accept it because my husband was ill and then they asked me again about it and I wouldn't travel because of the COVID," she told host Hoda Kotb. Parton is much beloved for both her musical career and the many charity projects she's undertaken in recent years. In November, she donated $US1 million to Vanderbilt University to support coronavirus vaccine research. She previously gave $US1 million to Vanderbilt to help fund its Monroe Carell Jr. Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.

Perhaps her best-known charity project is her Imagination Library, a charity she founded in 1990 that provides one free book a month to children from birth until adulthood. In the early months of the pandemic, she used the Imagination Library platform to read bedtime stories to kids who were out of school. Trump isn't the only president hoping to offer Parton a Medal of Freedom. The eight-time Grammy winner told Today that the new administration has reached out to her, but that she was worried about how receiving the award from Biden might be perceived. "Now I feel like if I take it, I'll be doing politics, so I'm not sure," she said. In a 2020 Stephen Colbert interview with former President Barack Obama, Obama said it was a "mistake" that his office hadn't offered Parton the honour.

The Presidential Medal of Freedom was established in 1945 and is the country's highest civilian honour. It is awarded for "especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of the United States, world peace, or cultural or other significant public or private endeavours," according to the National Archives. Trump handed out 24 Presidential Medals of Freedom during his term, though the late Elvis Presley was the only other musician to receive one. Rush Limbaugh, Tiger Woods, and Rep. Jim Jordan were among those honoured by the former president.

New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick was also offered the award but turned it down following the January 6 insurrection at the Capitol.

Are political views shaped by personality traits? (https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-55834023) - Article:

Where do our political beliefs come from? There is increasing evidence that an important part of the answer is deep-rooted within our nature.

It seems that we are predisposed to have certain personality traits and, ultimately, certain political tastes.

Psychologists normally measure your personality by asking questions about your approach to life.

The measures are known as the 'Big Five': openness to experience, conscientiousness, extroversion, agreeableness and neuroticism.

These are neither good nor bad, but simply aspects of who you are.

Do voters need therapy? (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-51510106)

Sir John Curtice: Why age not class matters most in voting (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-2019-50543903)

For example, someone scoring high in conscientiousness will tend to be more organised than the average person, but also more inflexible. Scores on these different traits predict lots of things about us: from healthy eating to marital stability.

It is perhaps not surprising that the Big Five also correlate with people's political views. Jeff Mondak, political science professor at the University of Illinois, says that people who score high in openness and low in conscientiousness are more likely to be left wing.

He argues that "openness equates with the willingness to try new things. And that includes new policies. Conscientiousness often signals a very strong sense of personal responsibility: it would be viewed as our own job, not the government's job, to take care of us."

'Darker' personality traits

These may not be the only personality traits which shape our politics, however. There is also the 'Dark Triad': Machiavellianism, narcissism and psychopathy.

The most important one of these for political behaviour is narcissism. This is not just about admiring your reflection and attention seeking, but also a sense of importance and entitlement.

Two key components of narcissism - exhibitionism and a sense of entitlement - correlate with our political views. Entitlement is associated with more right-wing positions and exhibitionism with more left-wing positions.

And narcissists are also generally more likely to get involved in politics.

Julie Blais, an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at Dalhousie University, says: "People with narcissistic traits are much more likely to engage. It's a way of getting attention and make themselves appear better than other people."

What shapes our personality?

Personality differences appear to be related to our political views and our political participation. But where do these differences come from?

If you take the British population today, about half the variation in personality traits appears to be genetically inherited.

That doesn't mean that there is a single gene which decides our personality.

Nor is it a specific part of the brain.

Kevin Mitchell, an associate professor of genetics and neuroscience at Trinity College, Dublin, says that personality traits are "manifestations of how the brain is put together - there aren't little bits of the brain doing one job or another."

Are we predisposed to our political views?
Does this all mean that our political views are also partly biological?

Like personality, political ideology is genetically heritable to some extent and one explanation for this is that innate personality traits, like the Big Five or narcissism, cause political attitudes.

However, some argue that there is actually something deeper in our biology that directly links to our politics.

Maybe it is very basic preferences, perhaps related to risk or threat avoidance, from humanity's evolutionary past which inform our modern day political preferences.

Rose McDermott, professor of political science and international relations at Brown University, says: "The specific issue, whether it's taxes or welfare, can change over time and from country to country. But the underlying issues remain: How do we decide who gets what within our community; how do we decide who's allowed into our community; how do we decide who we're going to fight against?"

These core differences continue to exist because there was never an evolutionary 'right answer' to those questions in the past, she says.

"When something is so much better than every all every other alternative it converges to universality. So why have we not converged universally on ideology? Because we need both. You need liberals for cooperation, but you also need conservatives because you have to defend those co-operators."

A bit more understanding?

Of course, there are some important caveats to the idea that biology equals ideology.

First off, these are simply tendencies. My genetic make-up does not determine my personality or my political views; it just influences them. Second, this is about people's attitudes, not their votes. There is no biological imperative to support party X over party Y.

Nonetheless, we should probably take seriously the idea that our political attitudes are partially due to our personality or other innate tendencies that we cannot do much about.

And, perhaps ironically, this might be helpful in reducing one of the bugbears of the modern age: political polarisation.

Polarisation is all about 'us' versus 'them'.

Maybe one way of countering that is to accept that 'they' just have different preferences to 'us'. This is not because 'they' are stupid, brainwashed or ignorant, just that 'we' are different to 'them'.

As Kevin Mitchell says: "Conflict usually arises because people's goals differ with each other and the things that they value in a given situation differ. And at some level, part of those differences come from our biology."

The conspiracy theorists, all of whom manufactured the big lie that 'Democrats stole the election" are being sued. Exaggerating is one thing, but when your lies defame a company which affects it's value and bottom line, you are going to be sued, count on it.

https://www.cnn.com/2021/02/04/media/smartmatic-fox-news-giuliani-powell-lawsuit/index.html

A voting technology company swept up in baseless conspiracy theories about the 2020 election filed a monster $2.7 billion lawsuit on Thursday against Fox News, some of the network's star hosts, and pro-Trump attorneys Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell, alleging the parties worked in concert to wage a "disinformation campaign" that has jeopardized its very survival.

"We have no choice," Antonio Mugica, the chief executive and founder of Smartmatic, told CNN Business in an interview about the company's decision to file the lawsuit. "The disinformation campaign that was launched against us is an obliterating one. For us, this is existential, and we have to take action."

The election was stolen. Maybe not by nefarious practices on the part of the voting machine's company, but a bunch of Democrats left California, New York, and New Jersey and moved to red states, like Georgia, and voted there, some on the same day they registered to vote in that state's elections. I know that, at least in Georgia, that won't happen again, because bills have already been drawn up forbidding same day registrations, voting by out-of-state actors, and a few other bad faith actions that had been noted in Georgia.

Ok, well if that's what you want to believe, go for it. it seems that that was not illegal at the time and as such it isn't stealing. I can't imagine we're talking about tens of thousands of people moving just for an election. If people emigrate that is not stealing as much as gerrymandering is stealing.

(II) prohibit a transition team member with conflicts of interest similar to those applicable to Federal employees under section 2635.402(a) and section 2635.502(a) of title 5, Code of Federal Regu-lations, related to current or former employment, affiliations, clients, or investments, from working on particular matters involving specific parties that affect the interests of such member; and ‘‘(III) address how the covered eligible can-didate will address his or her own conflicts of interest during a Presidential term if the covered eligible candidate becomes the President-elect;
>‘(C) PUBLICLY AVAILABLE.—The transition team shall make the ethics plan described in this paragraph publicly available on the internet website of the General Services-

Transition team members will avoid both actual and apparent conflicts of interest. More specifically, Transition team members may not participate in any particular Transition matter that they know may directly conflict with a financial interest of the member, an immediate family member, partner, client or other individual or organization with whichthe member has or has had a business relationship within the past 12 months. Even if there is no direct conflict, a team member will bring to the General Counsel’s attention any potential for the appearance of a conflict. An appearance of a conflict exists whenthe circumstances are such that a reasonable person would question the impartiality of a Transition team member or conclude that that member's work on a particular matter would undermine public confidence in the Transition Team.

(At this point the reader should be reminded that nearly all of Biden's picks have these exact conflicts of interest)

My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell Releases Absurd Conspiracy Infomercial

Mike Lindell, the founder of MyPillow and a prominent ally of former President Donald Trump, was suspended from Twitter for promoting election conspiracies. A host on the conservative channel Newsmax recently walked out of an interview as the pillow salesman spouted off lies. Major retailers have begun dropping his product, and lawyers have threatened him with “imminent” defamation suits over his baseless allegations.
But Lindell is still pushing the debunked and dangerous claim that the 2020 election was stolen from Trump, most recently in a two-hour video that he paid far-right channel One America News Network to air for 12 hours straight on Friday.
(Emphasis Added)

This guy (Mike Lindell) really must have money to burn.

Imagine setting the money on fire to produce a ludicrous Conspiracy Video (based on things that have been DEBUNKED a Thousand times over).

The guy must be doing pretty well financially to be able to set money on fire producing such utter bullcrap.

In a disclaimer before Lindell’s election fraud documentary Absolute Proof, OAN said the CEO is “solely and exclusively responsible” for the documentary’s content and that he paid to air it on the network.

OAN says it does not “adopt or endorse” the documentary’s claims, particularly about voting machine companies Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and elections official Gabriel Sterling

The US Senate has voted that the second impeachment trial against former US president Donald Trump is constitutionally valid and should continue.

The vote passed with 56 votes to 44, meaning six Republicans voted in favour of the motion.

Impeachment managers have been arguing that Mr Trump incited insurrection last month, and that a former president must be held to account for all conduct in office, regardless of whether that conduct occurred in his final week.

In February 2021, as former President Donald Trump stood trial for impeachment before the U.S. Senate on a charge of inciting an insurrection at the Capitol on Jan. 6, a video started to circulate on social media that supposedly showed Sen. Ted Cruz, one of Trump’s staunchest defenders, saying Trump had a history of inciting violence:

Cruz says in this video: “I’m very troubled by this. Donald Trump now has a consistent pattern of inciting violence. (https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/ted-cruz-trump-violence-quote/) Of Donald and his henchmen pushing for violence.”

This is a genuine video of Cruz saying that Trump has shown a pattern of inciting violence.

Cruz says in this video: “I’m very troubled by this. Donald Trump now has a consistent pattern of inciting violence. Of Donald and his henchmen pushing for violence.”

This is a genuine video of Cruz saying that Trump has shown a pattern of inciting violence.

The video was taken during the 2016 presidential campaign. At the time, Cruz was a presidential candidate and was campaigning for the Republican party’s nomination against Trump.

This video shows an interview between Cruz and radio host Glenn Beck from April 2016. According to CBS News, Cruz and Beck were discussing Trump ally Roger Stone’s threat to release the names and hotel room numbers at the GOP convention of Republican delegates who wanted to switch their votes from Trump to Cruz. This interview also followed reports that some of Trump’s supporters had made death threats to GOP officials.

CBS News reported: (https://www.cbsnews.com/news/cruz-trump-now-has-a-consistent-pattern-of-inciting-violence/)

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz significantly escalated his attacks against Donald Trump on Wednesday, portraying the billionaire as a spoiled thug running an incompetent campaign.

“Donald needs to stop threatening the voters. He needs to stop threatening the delegates. He is not a mobster,” Cruz told Glenn Beck during a radio interview. The interview came after Trump supporters allegedly made death threats against the Colorado GOP chairman following Cruz’s victory there and Trump ally Roger Stone’s insistence that he will release the names and hotel room info of anti-Trump delegates at the Republican convention.

A copy of this radio interview is available on Cruz’ YouTube page. His full comments can be heard starting around the 6:30 mark:

Acquittal is expected in the evenly-divided Senate, a verdict that could heavily influence not only Trump’s political future but that of the senators sworn to deliver impartial justice as jurors as they cast their votes.

Most every Senate juror has said they will listen to the evidence in Donald Trump’s historic second impeachment trial, but most minds were likely made up before the trial began. Democrats would need a minimum of 17 Republicans to vote with them to convict Trump of incitement of insurrection, and that appears unlikely.

Huh?

Schoen specifically accused the Democratic managers of having “created false representation of tweets.”

In his presentation, he displayed a photo in a New York Times article of lead impeachment manager Rep. Jamie Raskin looking at two tweets dated January 3, 2020 on a computer screen. One was a Trump retweet of a supporter writing that she will “PROUDLY stand beside” him on January 6. Another was a follow-up tweet from the same supporter, exclaiming: “We are bringing the Calvary Mr President.”

But the House impeachment managers never presented the doctored tweets at the trial, which Schoen himself noted. Instead, they presented a screenshot of Trump’s retweet, correctly dated January 3, 2021, which has since been taken down as his account is permanently suspended. They also showed the follow-up tweet with the same date.

“To be fair, the House managers caught this error before showing it on the Senate floor, so you never saw it when it was presented to you,” Schoen said Friday.

https://www.courthousenews.com/cia-can-shield-records-on-syrian-rebel-funding/

WASHINGTON (CN) — Twitter may have banned former President Donald Trump, but his disruptive use of the platform is still being argued in court.

On Tuesday morning, the D.C. Circuit sided with the CIA in a dispute involving a Freedom of Information Act request from BuzzFeed stemming from a Trump tweet.

“The Amazon Washington Post fabricated the facts on my ending massive, dangerous, and wasteful payments to Syrian rebels fighting Assad,” Trump tweeted out in July 2017.

Just days earlier, the Washington Post published a story reporting that Trump had ended an Obama-era policy of sending money to train moderate rebels in Syria with the hopes of overthrowing Syrian President Bashar Assad.

Following the tweet, BuzzFeed reporter Jason Leopold sent a FOIA request to the CIA for any records relating to “payments to Syrian rebels fighting Assad.”

The agency denied the request and that denial was upheld by a federal judge. BuzzFeed and Leopold then filed a second complaint in April 2019 seeking “agency records relating to payments to Syrian rebels.”

“President Trump’s tweet constitutes official [acknowledgement] that the United States had been making payments to Syrian rebels fighting Assad,” Washington attorney Jeffrey L. Light wrote in the lawsuit.

The CIA again argued the records were exempt from release under FOIA, but this time U.S. District Judge Rudolph Contreras ruled for the plaintiffs.

Contreras, a Barack Obama appointee, found the tweet was indeed an acknowledgment of “the government’s intelligence interest in the broader categories of records that BuzzFeed has requested” and said it’s likely some responsive records exist related to the nearly decade-long conflict in the Middle East.

“Because the president’s tweet makes it implausible for any reasonable person to truly doubt the existence of at least some CIA records that are responsive to at least some of the nine categories of documents that Buzzfeed requested, Buzzfeed has managed to overcome the agency’s Glomar response and the agency has failed to meet its burden in this case,” the judge wrote. (Emphasis in original.)

The CIA appealed to the D.C. Circuit, which reversed the lower court and slapped away BuzzFeed’s suit on Tuesday.

Writing for a unanimous three-judge panel, Senior U.S. Circuit Judge A. Raymond Randolph said Contreras’ opinion assumed too much.

“One would hope that the district court’s assumption is accurate but who knows for sure? To establish official acknowledgment our precedents require certainty, not assumptions of this sort,” wrote the George H. W. Bush appointee. “The tweet here leaves too much doubt.”

Randolph concluded the Trump tweet at issue “was not an official acknowledgment of the existence (or not) of agency records.” (Parentheses in original.)

He was joined on the panel by U.S. Circuit Judges Robert Wilkins and Gregory Katsas, appointed by Obama and Trump, respectively.

A spokesperson for the Department of Justice declined to comment on the ruling.

Light said in an email that he and his clients “were disappointed in the court’s decision and reviewing our options for further proceedings.”

A prolific tweeter, Trump was banned from Twitter on Jan. 8, just two days after a horde of his supporters ransacked the U.S. Capitol in a riot that is the basis for his second impeachment trial.

But the former president’s use of Twitter has long been a source of legal scrutiny.

The Second Circuit held in July 2019 that his blocking of online critics violated their constitutional rights, but that didn’t stop him from hitting the block button. Trump was facing renewed First Amendment claims over blocking users as recently as last summer. That fight, initiated by press advocacy group The Knight Foundation, is ongoing.

The actual text of Trump tweets has often made appearances in complaints and hearings, most notably linked to immigration policy disputes.

In January 2018, a federal judge called out the then-president’s “recurring, redundant drumbeat of anti-Latino commentary” via his favorite online platform in a hearing over his administration’s rollback of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.

Trump’s tweets were also often mentioned in his long-running travel ban dispute, in which the U.S. Supreme Court eventually sided with him.

“People, the lawyers and the courts can call it whatever they want, but I am calling it what we need and what it is, a TRAVEL BAN!” Trump tweeted during the summer of 2017 as the dispute heated up.

But a key part of his defense over the executive order limiting immigration from several majority-Muslim countries aimed to distance the president from anti-Islam bias. Civil rights groups and states argued the travel ban was meant to keep Muslims from entering the country, but the Trump administration insisted it was a matter of national security.

While a conservative majority of the nation’s highest court found the executive branch has exclusive authority to limit inbound travel, Justice Sonia Sotomayor wrote in a dissent that Trump’s tweets and public comments made clear the policy’s intent to discriminate.

“There was strong evidence that impermissible hostility and animus motivated the government’s policy,” she wrote.

The FOIA case over funding for Syrian rebels isn’t the only document-related dispute keeping Trump’s name in the courts.

Following Trump’s call to declassify documents related to the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, BuzzFeed and other outlets filed suit asking for those documents to be released. The DOJ argued Trump’s comments were too ambiguous to be taken literally, an argument a district judge didn’t appear to buy. That dispute is ongoing.

As Sputnik’s Morgan Artyukhina clearly outlines, this ruling comes despite the fact that mainstream news outlets have been reporting on the Central Intelligence Agency’s activities in Syria for years, and despite a US president having openly tweeted about those activities.

“In other words, the CIA will not be required to admit to actions it is widely reported as having done, much less divulge documents about them to the press for even greater scrutiny,” Artyukhina writes, calling to mind the Julian Assange quote “The overwhelming majority of information is classified to protect political security, not national security.”

'You'll be hearing a lot more': Trump set to emerge from Mar-a-Lago hibernation after impeachment acquittal (https://www.9news.com.au/world/donald-trump-set-to-reemerge-after-impeachment-acquittal/930da256-12c9-4ad9-bc76-fed9bc3b9124)

Donald Trump took in the win at Mar-a-Lago, surrounded by friends and family. His lawyers celebrated with hugs and smiles. One joked, "We're going to Disney World!"

Now acquitted in his second Senate impeachment trial, Trump is preparing for the next phase of his post-presidency life. Feeling emboldened by the trial's outcome, he is expected to reemerge from a self-imposed hibernation at his club in Palm Beach, Florida, and is eyeing ways to reassert his power.

But after being barred from Twitter, the former president lacks the social media bullhorn that fuelled his political rise. And he's confronting a Republican Party deeply divided over the legacy of his jarring final days in office, culminating in the January 6 storming of the Capitol. Searing video images of the day played on loop during his impeachment trial, which ended Saturday.

..........

"to reassert his power" - that's what he is all about - having power!

"Republican Party deeply divided over the legacy of his jarring final days in office" - divided maybe but too gutless to do anything about it.

One does have to wonder if the Senate Impeachment farcical trial would have a different outcome if the voting was secret....

Joe Biden seeks to turn the page on Donald Trump era after impeachment acquittal (https://www.9news.com.au/world/joe-biden-statement-donald-trump-impeachment-trial-verdict/ae14b850-d23f-4515-9723-615ed0dfee7c)

The end of former President Donald Trump's impeachment trial opens a new chapter for his successor in the White House.

But while President Joe Biden and his team are eager to move past the impeachment, the bitterly partisan tone of the proceedings underscores the deep challenges ahead as the president and his party try to push forward their agenda and address historic crises.

Biden, who was at the Camp David presidential retreat when the Senate voted Saturday to acquit Trump, had acknowledged that Democrats needed to hold the former president responsible for the siege of the US Capitol but did not welcome the way it distracted from his agenda.

The trial ended with every Democrat and seven Republicans voting to convict Trump, but the 57-43 vote was far from the two-third threshold required for conviction. Whether the seven GOP votes against Trump offered Biden any new hope for bipartisan cooperation within Congress remained an open question.

In a statement, Biden referenced those GOP votes in favour of convicting the former president — and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell's own indictment of Trump's actions — as evidence that "the substance of the charge," that Trump was responsible for inciting violence at the Capitol, is "not in dispute".

But he quickly moved on to the work ahead, sounding a note of unity and declaring that "this sad chapter in our history has reminded us that democracy is fragile" and that "each of us has a duty and responsibility as Americans, and especially as leaders, to defend the truth and to defeat the lies."

"It's a task we must undertake together. As the United States of America," Biden said.

Biden made a point of not watching the trial live, choosing to comment only briefly on the searing images of the riot that gripped the nation. Though his White House publicly argued that the trial did not hinder their plans, aides privately worried that a lengthy proceeding could bog down the Senate and slow the passage of his massive COVID-19 relief bill. That US$1.9 trillion ($2.45 trillion) proposal is just the first part of a sweeping legislative agenda Biden hopes to pass as he battles the coronavirus pandemic, which has killed more than 480,000 Americans and rattled the nation's economy.

"The No. 1 priority for Democrats and the Biden administration is going to be to deliver on the promises that have been made on the pandemic, both on the vaccine front and the economic front," said Democratic strategist Josh Schwerin.
The end of the impeachment trial frees the party to focus on less divisive and more broadly popular issues and policies, like the coronavirus relief package, which polls show has significant support among Americans.

Throughout his campaign, Biden worked to avoid being defined by Trump and his controversies and instead sought to draw a contrast on policy and competence, a guiding principle that he and his aides have carried over into the White House.

His team kept up a steady drumbeat of events during the trial, including an update on vaccine development and Biden's first visit to the Pentagon as commander in chief. With the proceedings on the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue now over, the White House plans to increase its efforts to spotlight the fight against the pandemic and push past Trump's chaos.

Former Democratic Sen. Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota predicted that in a state like hers, where Trump won 65% of the vote, focusing on those urgent issues would make more headway with average voters now.

"What we have to be talking about is the economy — getting the economy back working, and turning the page" on the last administration, she said. "Good policy is good politics. We need to get back to that."

Democrats have a decision to make in how to deal with Trump going forward. While the end of the impeachment trial offers a clear opportunity for the party to focus squarely on its own agenda, Trump can also be a potent political weapon for Democrats, not to mention a big driver of campaign cash.

After Saturday's vote, American Bridge 21st Century, the Democratic Party's opposition research arm, issued a statement calling out senators from Ohio and Florida, two states that Democrats are targeting in the 2022 election, for voting against convicting Trump.

"Ron Johnson, Marco Rubio, and nearly every other Senate Republican put their loyalty to Donald Trump ahead of the rule of law, the Capitol police officers who protect them every day, and the oaths they swore to uphold the Constitution," said Bradley Beychock, the group's president, calling the senators "spineless sycophants."

Still, Schwerin cautioned that Trump can't be Democrats' "primary focus."

"We shouldn't ignore the fact that a lot of the problems that the country is dealing with are because of Trump's failures, but he shouldn't be the focus of every fundraising email and press release. We should be looking forward," he said.
Biden plans to keep up a busy schedule focused on the coronavirus pandemic in the coming week.

The president will make his first official domestic trips this week: a TV town hall in Wisconsin on Tuesday to talk to Americans impacted by the coronavirus and a visit to a Pfizer vaccine facility in Michigan on Thursday.
White House legislative affairs staffers were poised to work with House committees on crafting details of the COVID-19 relief bill, which Democrats hope to vote on next month.

Still, some within the party aren't finished with Trump. The Progressive Change Campaign Committee, a leading progressive advocacy group, issued a petition Saturday night encouraging supporters to call on attorney general nominee Merrick Garland to "investigate and prosecute Trump and his entire criminal network for law breaking."

Biden is likely to continue to face questions about how his Justice Department will handle a number of ongoing federal and criminal probes into Trump's businesses and his conduct as president.

And his aides will be watching for Trump's next moves, particularly if he claims exoneration and heats up his political activity and even points toward a 2024 campaign. The plan, for now, is to try to ignore the former president.
Former Democratic National Committee Chair Donna Brazile warned that Trump won't make it easy but Democrats need to avoid getting sucked back into his orbit.

"I don't think Donald Trump is going to disappear from anyone's lips any day soon, and that's because Donald Trump will always seek to find ways to inject himself and serve himself," she said.

"While Donald Trump is figuring out who he is going to go after next, Democrats are going to figure out how they're going to lift people up and how they're going to protect and help the American people."

https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20210218-israel-prepares-law-to-prohibit-cooperation-with-icc/

>Israeli authorities are preparing a law that would prohibit any cooperation with the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, and would propose five years in prison for any violations of this law, RT reported yesterday.

Reporting Israeli TV Channel 7, RT said the law would also include a ban on handing over Israeli nationals to the ICC, financing the expenses of legal defence before it and imposing penalties on the court and those working for it.

This, it explained, comes as part of a series of measures taken by Israel against the ICC after its announcement that it would probe potential Israeli war crimes against Palestinians.
Channel 7 reported that the bill is being inspired by the American Civil Service Protection Act, which was enacted in Congress in 2002.

The US law, which was known as the Invasion of The Hague, gives the US president wide ranging powers to do anything in order to release any American citizen arrested by the ICC, including the use of force.

Reporting the Israeli NGO Shurat HaDin, Channel 7 said that the Israeli law aims to create a legal safety network for Israeli soldiers and senior officials who could be prosecuted.

It will also sanction the tribunal's members, ban them from entering Israel and impose restrictions against foreign entities that help them.

The ICC's declared intention to investigate possible war crimes in the occupied Palestinian territories has enraged Israel. The government has apparently drafted a list of its officials and former officials who should avoid foreign travel as they may be arrested and charged with such crimes.

Rogue Liberal MP Craig Kelly QUITS the party but will stay in parliament – freeing him to push extreme conspiracy theories on Covid and climate change (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9289093/Covid-conspiracy-theorist-MP-Craig-Kelly-RESIGNS.html)

Mr Kelly has caused outrage over the past few months by promoting unproven drugs to treat Covid-19 and calling into the question the safety of vaccines.

He also denies climate change.

Earlier this month, Mr Kelly clashed with Labor frontbencher Tanya Plibersek in the corridors of Parliament.

'My mum lives in your electorate and I don't want her exposed to people who are not going to be vaccinated because of these crazy conspiracy theories that you're spreading,' she told him.

Ms Plibersek called him a 'taxpayer-funded nong' and urged Scott Morrison to 'tell him to shut up'.

The Prime Minister then hauled Mr Kelly into his office, gave him a dressing down and told him to stop promoting unproven drugs on his popular Facebook page.

Mr Kelly has insisted he is not an anti-vaxer but has cast doubt on the safety of Covid-19 vaccines and previously said 'I'm waiting for all the evidence to come in' before taking one.

In early February he was interviewed on a podcast with former celebrity chef Pete Evans, who has been banned from Facebook for spreading anti-vax theories.

We must act NOW against this bullying parasite: MP DAMIAN COLLINS argues Britain should throw its support behind Australia in its battle with Facebook (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9289043/MP-DAMIAN-COLLINS-says-Britain-throw-support-Australia-battle-Facebook.html)

This is a battle we should have fought and won long ago. But now that the stakes have risen so high – with Facebook and the Australian government at war over the tech giant’s refusal to pay for news content – we must all throw our full support behind our democratic friends Down Under.

And we must step up our own efforts to end the bullying and curb the powers of Facebook and other social media giants.

For far too long these multi-billion-dollar companies (Facebook’s income last year was £61billion) have got away with fiscal murder.

Then when a government such as Australia’s rightly decides to take action, first Google threatens to withdraw its search engine and next Facebook has the nerve to block news content – an assault on freedom of speech and proof, if needed, that the behemoth’s founder, Mark Zuckerberg, regards his organisation as a law unto itself.

He seems to believe that tax is for others to pay; appearing before a parliamentary committee is an indignity; accountability means nothing.

At a time when more and more people get their information from social media rather than bona fide news organisations – which in law are held to account and have to behave responsibly – Facebook is happy to help itself to content from newspapers and magazines and, in the process, take billions of dollars worth of advertising from those news organisations whose very existence is now under threat.

Facebook’s unofficial motto is to make money out of everything and pay for nothing.

Here's what Trump's tax returns could mean for the investigations into his finances (https://www.businessinsider.com.au/trump-tax-returns-explainer-donald-trump-organization-2021-2?r=US&IR=T)

- The Supreme Court has paved the way for the Manhattan DA to get Donald Trump’s tax returns.

- A former Trump Organization executive and Trump’s personal lawyer told Congress he kept two sets of books: One to pay low taxes, another for bank loan rates.

- Prosecutors will be able to look at the evidence and see if the filings rise to financial crimes.

The ruling cleared the way for Manhattan prosecutors – who have been pursuing them for years – to finally get their hands on financial documents belonging to the former president and his companies.

Trump’s tax returns have become the subject of mystique over the past five years, as he became the first major-party nominee since Gerald Ford to not voluntarily release them.

The Manhattan District Attorney’s office, led by Cyrus Vance Jr., first sought Trump’s tax documents since it opened an investigation into his finances in 2017.

The precise scope of the investigation is unclear, but court filings suggest that Vance’s office is looking into whether the former president’s tax filings amounted to criminal tax fraud. If Trump were to be indicted for financial crimes, the tax returns would no doubt be a centerpiece for the charges.

Vance’s office is also reportedly looking into whether Donald Trump, Jr. and Allen Weisselberg, the former chief financial officer of the Trump Organization, were involved in wrongdoing.

The investigation was first triggered after Michael Cohen, a former executive of the Trump Organization and personal lawyer to Trump, told Congress he used the company’s funds for hush-money payments to Stormy Daniels, an adult-film actress who claims she had sex with Trump in 2006. Vance is looking into whether those payments broke laws as well.

Chief among the issues is whether – as Cohen testified – Trump kept two sets of books for his finances: One for favorable loan deals and another for low tax rates.

Jeff Robbins, a former attorney for the US Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations and federal prosecutor overseeing money-laundering probes, said keeping two sets of books could lead to a number of serious financial crimes.

“Inconsistency is not a crime. The intent to defraud is a crime,” Robbins told Insider. “What a prosecutor is going to be looking at is: Did Trump seek to defraud the government of the United States with respect to the valuation of assets and the paying of taxes? Was there an intent to defraud banks?”

Trump has gone to great lengths to keep his tax returns secret despite saying he wants to make them public

Trump initially said he would make them public, and then suggested the IRS would not allow their release while he was under audit. No such IRS rule exists.

He has also lied about severing ties to his own businesses, raising questions of whether he used his vast powers as president to make money for himself. Trump said in 2019 that the presidency was costing him up to $US5 ($6) billion, but has steadfastly refused to furnish documents proving that claim.

In January 2017, Trump held a press conference with his three eldest children and pointed to a large pile of papers that he said showed he was withdrawing from the Trump Organization and giving all control over to Eric Trump and Donald Trump, Jr. He has never permitted reporters to look at those purported documents.

A 2020 investigation from The New York Times found and analyzed nearly two decades’ worth of Trump’s returns. It cited major revelations, including:

Trump paid $US0 ($0) in federal taxes for the majority of the years reviewed and $US750 ($948) during his first two years as president. At the same time, he paid hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes to foreign governments.

He received tens of millions of dollars from foreign sources.

$US300 ($379) million in loans are due to be paid back over the next several years.

He vastly overstated his charitable giving.

He has been involved in a yearslong battle with the IRS over a $US73 ($92) million refund, which he may owe back to the federal government.

He appeared to have worked with his daughter Ivanka Trump to make up fake consulting fees as tax write-offs.

He apparently mischaracterized his 200-acre family retreat in upstate New York in tax filings to write off millions of dollars more.

Tax experts have described all of those findings as highly unusual, even among the hyper-rich who take advantage of obscure tax loopholes. Trump’s attempts to keep them secret have delayed the ability of prosecutors and judges to determine whether they amounted to tax crimes.

Vance has gone further than anyone else to obtain Trump’s returns, twice going to the Supreme Court to obtain them.

The subpoenas will also enable Vance to obtain other documents related to Trump’s taxes, including communications between the Trump Organization and its accountants at the accounting firm Mazars USA, as well as questions, complaints, concerns, instructions, and arguments for how to value certain assets.

Robbins described these documents as “a potential treasure trove of admissions.”

“I’m sure prosecutors are looking at all sorts of contradictions in those documents,” Robbins, now the co-chair of the Congressional Investigations practice at Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr, told Insider.

“If the taxpayer had taken a totally different position with respect to the asset in some other place, that would be very strong evidence of an intent to defraud,” he added.

Deutsche Bank, the Trump Organization’s chief lender, and Aon, its insurance broker, have already cooperated with Vance’s investigation, according to The New York Times.

Trump is also subject to at least two other financial investigations

In addition to the Manhattan District Attorney’s office investigation, New York Attorney General Letitia James is also looking into whether the Trump Organization kept two sets of books for its properties.

The House of Representatives’ Ways and Means Committee is also seeking to obtain Trump’s tax returns as part of an investigation into whether he interfered with the IRS’s audit program.

It is not clear if the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, which oversees federal prosecutions in Manhattan, is also looking into Trump’s finances. It successfully obtained a guilty plea from Michael Cohen in 2018 for campaign-finance violations related to the Stormy Daniels hush-money payments.

And just because Vance will get Trump’s tax returns doesn’t mean everyone else will.

Under New York state law, evidence obtained for a grand jury – as Vance is doing here – must be kept under seal unless the case goes to court. Both James and the House have been mired in their own court challenges over Trump’s returns. Rep. Richard Neal, the chairman of the House committee, has cited Vance’s recent Supreme Court win as a mark of confidence that he’ll succeed in his own lawsuit.

James, the state attorney general, has been involved with several tangles with Trump, his family, and his company over financial matters.

In 2019, she secured a settlement with Trump and his children where they paid a $US2 ($3) million fine and were barred from serving on charity boards in the state. The Trump Foundation, which was dissolved as part of the settlement, had used funds to bolster Trump’s political fortunes and for the then-candidate’s personal image.

A separate probe from James’ office is looking into whether the Trump Organization has misrepresented its assets, including the value and use of its properties, for tax benefits. The office interviewed Eric Trump, the current chief executive of the Trump Organization, in October.

Trump, his family members, and the Trump Organization have all denied wrongdoing.

Vance is not expected to run for reelection as Manhattan’s District Attorney this year. He recently hired Mark Pomerantz, a former mob prosecutor, to oversee the Trump team and ensure its continuity under a new administration.

The investigations into Trump’s finances aren’t the only legal perils he’s facing. He, his company, political operation, and numerous other businesses and organizations he’s affiliated with are staring down a tsunami of investigations. He also faces numerous civil lawsuits related to his business practices and sexual-assault accusations.

The Supreme Court has paved the way for the Manhattan DA to get Donald Trump’s tax returns.

I'm going to laugh when once again Orange Man comes out clean and there's no there there, because if there was a there, then we would have seen it by October 2016. I hope all the rest of the politicians dont complain when their finances are dug into and poured over with a fine toothed comb.

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/find-fraud-youll-be-hero-was-lie-wapo-issues-major-retraction-after-audio-vindicates

Former President Trump has issued a response after the Washington Post admitted to publishing a report falsely accusing him of pressuring a Georgia official to 'find the fraud,' - a statement which was debunked by audio of the call, but not before it spread through left-wing MSM echo chambers like wildfire

The Washington Post just issued a correction as to the contents of the incorrectly reported phone call I had with respect to voter fraud in the Great State of Georgia. While I appreciate the Washington Post's correction, which immediately makes the Georgia Witch Hunt a non- story, the original story was a Hoax, right from the very beginning. I would further appreciate a strong investigation into Fulton County, Georgia, and the Stacey Abrams political machine strong investigation into Fulton County, Georgia, and the Stacey Abrams political machine which, I believe, would totally change the course of the presidential election in Georgia.

Fulton County has not been properly audited for vote or signature verification. They only looked at areas of the State where there most likely would be few problems, and even there they found large numbers of mistakes. We are seeking to find and reveal the large-scale election fraud which took place in Georgia. Many residents agree, and their anger caused them not to turn out and vote for two Republican Senators in the January election.

The Consent Decree signed between Raffensperger and Stacey Abrams was not approved by the Georgia State Legislature, and therefore should be deemed invalid, and the election result changed. Why the Governor and Raffensperger ever approved this Consent Decree is one of the great questions? We look forward to an answer.

You will notice that establishment media errors, omissions, mistakes, and outright lies always slant one way—against me and against Republicans. Meanwhile, stories that hurt Democrats or undermine their narratives are buried, ignored, or delayed until they can do the least harm— for example, after an election is over. Look no further than the negative coverage of the vaccine that preceded the election and the overdue celebration of the vaccine once the election had concluded. A strong democracy requires a fair and honest press. This latest media travesty underscores that legacy media outlets should be regarded as political entities — not journalistic enterprises. In any event, I thank the Washington Post for the correction. -Donald J. Trump

RICO carries 5 - 20 years in prison
Automatic restitution

What I find MOST interesting here, is: that it was created FEB 2019, also the same time of the USPS Blockchain patent.

What is MOST interesting is: that it’s short and sweet, 33 pages worth. Part of the commission of crimes is the mens rea concept, that one KNEW they were committing crimes. This is a product of Congressional Research Service, doing the grunt work for legislators for over 100 years. So... ANYONE in the Lower & upper Houses having received this, and was partaking at all in any form of voter/mail/wire fraud, is culpable. Very interesting, the timing, and content.

The Sovereign Crime of Industrial Scale Vote Fraud
By Jay Valentine

...
When you are at the table with some of the top criminal profilers in the world, talking about industrial scale election fraud, you do more listening than talking. And the listening was interesting. The profilers have zero interest in U.S. elections. Two of them did not vote and had unflattering opinions about both presidential candidates. Their comments were most insightful because they saw the current questions about election fraud so differently than the American media.

To them, 2020 election fraud was an industrial level crime. It was of such magnitude that it moved from the category of an election crime to a sovereign crime.

Sovereign crime. It does have a ring to it.

Sovereign crime is not something we see a lot of in America as our governmental institutions are generally not organized to commit, support or hide a crime.

Most Americans have never seen an organized crime take place, in plain view, supported by or covered up by governmental institutions. But it happens all the time around the world, even in some countries that are quite Westernized.

Sovereign crime means your government was a participant, active or passive, enabling vote fraud.

Governors and secretaries of state refusing to cleanse voter rolls, refusing to check signatures for mail-in ballots – even during recounts, changing the voting rules weeks before an election, qualifies as your government messing with your vote.

The national government refusing to investigate the most egregious examples of voter fraud like hundreds of thousands of more ballots than voters in several states, that is a pretty good indicator that they are passive participants in industrial level vote fraud.

The refusal of the FBI to fully investigate Jesse Morgan’s truck with the hundreds of thousands of ballots going from New York to Pennsylvania – yet dispatching agents to a NASCAR location to investigate a garage pull-down they hoped was a noose – well, that’s a good indicator, too.

Wait, we’re not done here.

The United States Postal Service managers telling employees to backdate ballots so they could be counted illegally. Does that sound like your government – sovereign government – participating in vote fraud?

Our team noted that this might be the first time in American history that the government from the states to the national to its agencies coordinated to either fake the vote or hide the faking.

Our profilers comfortably said the 2020 election fraud was on such a scale that it was impossible for the major law enforcement agencies to not have known about it in advance.

Governmental law enforcement either actively engaged in the fraud, which is impossible to prove, or knowingly acquiesced after the fact.

Pretty clearly, the evidence is piling up that the FBI had zero interest in trucks with ballots crossing state lines, ballots being shredded in Maricopa County, tens of thousands of ballots received before being mailed and all sorts of other clues any competent law enforcement agency would at least investigate.

The conversation did not go where I expected it.

There was no interest on our profilers’ part in doing investigation of massive voter fraud. They felt it was so obvious and the current work being done by citizens and published on hard-to-find blogs was state-of-the-art and no further investigations would find much more. Their comments were striking because they said the data easily available showed the election fraud patterns had two very alarming characteristics: It was not the first time this was tried, and it will be performed again, at scale, in the next election.

Here is where the conversation got very interesting:

Violent criminals have known profiles and when law enforcement properly applies certain profiles, there can be very accurate predictions about what such persons will do next.

Fraud criminals have their own patterns. When we were doing insurance fraud, we often said, with authority, that fraud is a constant. If you stop it one place, it will pop up somewhere else.

Fraud criminals are often highly educated. In our world, they are doctors, attorneys, insurance investigators, chiropractors, running fraud rings spanning multiple states. If someone were caught and the ring broken, those who did not go to jail did not become priests or open small businesses. They started other fraud rings.

Fraud is a constant. Fraud becomes a profession.

Fraud rings, when organized, grow. They continue to expand with new entrants, slightly different profiles, corrupting more people with money that dwarfs what one might make honestly. Fraud techniques are like an organic species: what works, thrives; and what fails, dies out. Patterns emerge. Patterns equal prediction and prediction enables eradication.

Here is where our profilers made a critical connection.

The 2020 election fraud did not just happen. It is impossible for an organization, spanning many states, using similar techniques (fake ballots, shutting down counting at the same time, more ballots than voters, dead voters, underage voters) to succeed the first time at bat. There are just too many moving parts.

So here we developed a thesis.

The team, educated in some of the most sophisticated organized fraud tactics, posited that this was not a dry run. Their thesis is that if one were to seriously evaluate the balloting in many states for 2014, 2016 and 2018, one will find traces of what happened in 2020. That project is under discussion.

Their second thesis is that this is not over by any means. This kind of election fraud was hugely successful. If one even questions the 2020 election, one can be banned from social media and labeled e a “conspiracy theorist” by sovereign governmental agencies.

The team believes the best is yet to come.

why did she hire her pedophile rapist father to be her campaign manager AFTER her father was charged tho?

>The married 50-year-old was jailed for 22 years on Monday following a trial at Warwick Crown Court.

>The court heard Challenor would dress up as a small girl in adult-sized baby dresses and nappies before carrying out the sickening attacks at his Coventry home.

Hello r/Europe,

You are probably noticing a few strange things about this thread, not the least being that every comment was removed and that it's locked.

A couple days ago, an moderator of r/UKPolitics was suspended permanently for, allegedly, posting this Spectator article about a former politician, Aimee Challenor.

After turning the subreddit private for almost a full day, the moderators of r/UKPolitics then made an announcement you can read here that alleges that any mention of Ms. Challenor and any link to the article can lead to a permanent suspension of the user from the whole of reddit by the admins.

The stated reason for that is that Ms. Challenor is, allegedly, currently a reddit employee and reddit is trying to protect her from harassment.

While The Spectator article is a not very good one, there are several other sources on the controversy.

BBC article 'Green Party suspends member over father's child rape conviction'

Guardian article 'Green party failed to properly investigate child abuser – report'

As you might understand, this is a rather sensitive situation. When posting these threads and responding to them, there is a real chance your account might be suspended.

We don't wish for users to be 'baited' into losing their accounts however, thus the thread's comments have been removed and the thread locked.

Furthermore, any more posts about it have to be cleared with us through the modmail before being approved for both your and our safety.

We hope you understand.

r/Europe's mod team

TLDR: Fat retard tranny runs for the Green party, it's father is a nonce who raped and tortured a 10 year old girl, fat retard tranny Aimee then hires it's father to work on it's campaign in the Green party AFTER being convicted (and of course the abomination's nonce father is pro trans). It then quits the Green party and runs for the Lib Dem's, only for them to do a background investigation and eject the tranny as fast as possible. Then Aimee gets put on reddit's payroll as a super-jannie and is now on a power trip to cover up any shit mentioning it's name. Also Aimee's spouse writes smut involving kids and another tranny Katrina Swales/Knight who is in an open relationship with the pair is also a reddit jannie, and a furfag. Now we have a situation where a two times failed politician tranny has locked the entire UK political subreddit over people mentioning its name.

Washington (CNN)The Supreme Court on Monday left in place a lower court order that blocked the conservative group Judicial Watch from deposing former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton about her use of a private email account in a lawsuit related to the 2012 attack on the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

A federal appeals court ruled last August that Clinton cannot be compelled to appear for a deposition in a lawsuit about State Department emails, a ruling that came after a federal judge said earlier in 2020 that the former secretary must appear for a deposition in the case.
The court's denial on Monday was unsigned.

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has called for waging another “arduous march” to fight severe economic difficulties, for the first time comparing them to a 1990s famine that killed hundreds of thousands.

Kim had previously said his country faces the “worst-ever” situation due to several factors, including the coronavirus pandemic, U.S.-led sanctions and natural disasters last summer. But it’s the first time he publicly drew parallel with the deadly famine.

North Korea monitoring groups haven’t detected any signs of mass starvation or a humanitarian disaster. But Kim’s comments still suggest how seriously he views the current difficulties — which foreign observers say are the biggest test of his nine-year rule.

Bowing to Trump? GOP brings leaders, donors to his backyard (https://apnews.com/article/donald-trump-capitol-siege-politics-florida-abcfc4015aad9629568272cccdca3982)

There will be no reckoning at the Republican National Committee.

Three months after former President Donald Trump helped incite a violent attack against Congress, the GOP is bringing hundreds of donors and several future presidential prospects to the former president’s doorstep in south Florida. While a handful of Republican leaders hope to move past Trump’s divisive leadership, the location of the invitation-only gathering suggests that the party, at least for now, is not ready to replace Trump as its undisputed leader and chief fundraiser.

Trump himself will headline the closed-door donor retreat, which is designed to raise millions of dollars for the GOP’s political arm while giving donors exclusive access to the party’s evolving group of 2024 prospects and congressional leaders. The weekend event will play out in an oceanfront luxury hotel just four miles from Trump’s Florida estate, where allies of the former president will simultaneously be holding their own fundraising events.

“The venue for the quarterly meeting along with Trump’s keynote speech at CPAC shows that the party is still very much in Trump’s grip,” said one of the invitees, GOP donor Dan Eberhart, referring to Trump’s February address at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Florida. “The party doesn’t seem to have the ability to hit escape velocity from its former standard bearer.”

Trump’s continued hold on Republican donors and elected officials ensures that Trumpism will remain the driving force in GOP politics indefinitely, even as Trump repeats the falsehood that fueled the Jan. 6 insurrection. In several public statements and appearance since leaving office, as recently as last weekend, Trump has declared that the 2020 election was “stolen” from him.

There is no evidence of significant voter fraud. In fact, several Republican governors and leading Trump administration officials have vouched for the integrity of President Joe Biden’s victory. Trump’s legal claims were roundly rejected by the courts, including by Trump-appointed justices at the Supreme Court.

But absent a consistent party message following Trump’s loss, a clear policy agenda or a coherent strategy to expand the GOP’s appeal, leading Republican elected officials and the RNC have increasingly embraced election fraud as a chief policy priority.

The lineup at the weekend gathering notably excludes any leading Republicans who have pushed back against Trump’s claims or supported his impeachment. Those who aren’t expected to appear include Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, No. 3 House Republican Liz Cheney, Utah Sen. Mitt Romney or Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan.

The gathering will instead feature Trump himself and a slew of candidates already positioning themselves for a 2024 presidential bid, assuming Trump himself does not run again. The potential White House contenders include Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton. Also scheduled to speak are House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Sens. Rick Scott and Marco Rubio of Florida and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina.

The weekend’s agenda will focus on party unity and how to expand the GOP, with sessions planned on the topics.

RNC member Henry Barbour, who helps lead the committee’s small-dollar fundraising apparatus, suggested the retreat was not set in Palm Beach to cater to Trump. He noted that such events are typically held in states such as Florida, New York, California and Texas.

With COVID restrictions, Barbour said, “The RNC has limited options.”

“We’re not in Florida so we can bow down to Donald Trump. No one needs to bow down to Donald Trump,” Barbour said in an interview. “He’s certainly an important part of Republican fundraising, but the party has to be bigger and broader than any one candidate.”

The RNC has booked the entire Four Seasons Resort on Palm Beach for the weekend gathering, and there will be donor events at Trump’s nearby Mar-a-Lago estate to raise money for groups focused on Trump’s political future and policy priorities.

At the same time, a handful of leading Trump allies — including embattled Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and embattled Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz — will appear at a weekend conference of their own at Trump’s Doral golf resort 70 miles to the south in Miami. The host organization, Women for America First, helped organize the Jan. 6 rally that preceded the deadly attack on the Capitol.

Former RNC staffer Tim Miller, who has emerged as a leading Trump critic in recent years, lamented the GOP’s continued coziness with the former president even after his role in the insurrection.

“There was a real opportunity in this three-month window, from Jan. 6 to now, for the party to make a concerted effort to say, ‘It’s time to move on,’” Miller said. “But they didn’t choose to do that. This is who the party is.”

And while the GOP is embracing Trump, it’s not clear that Trump is embracing the GOP.

Just a month ago, Trump’s political action committee sent letters to the RNC and others asking them to “immediately cease and desist the unauthorized use of President Donald J. Trump’s name, image, and/or likeness in all fundraising, persuasion, and/or issue speech.”

GOP officials have repeatedly tried to downplay the fundraising tensions and see Trump’s participation as a sign that he is willing to lend his name to the party. At the same time, Trump continues to aggressively accumulate campaign cash — cash that the RNC, or the party’s next presidential nominee, does not control — including this week’s relaunch of his online merchandise store.

Former Trump aide Hogan Gidley suggested Trump is as powerful as ever.

“People in D.C., inside the Beltway, think Donald Trump is radioactive,” Gidley said. “The Republican Party has grown, and it’s because of Donald Trump’s successes. To ignore that, you do so at your own peril.”

Mike Lindell's 'free speech' social media site bans swearing, porn and taking God's name in vain

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell announced this week that so-called "free speech" on his new social media site will not include swearing, porn or taking God's name in vain.

In a video posted on what appeared to be a placeholder page for the new site, Lindell explained some of the membership rules for Frankspeech.com.

"I have my own servers and everything," he said. "We're not going to be worried about Amazon taking it down or YouTube or Google or Apple and we are going to get our voice of free speech out there."

Lindell asked his fans to sign up for early "VIP access" by providing their telephone numbers.

"All the cancels of our First Amendment rights we're seeing right now, well guess what? It's coming back," he continued. "You're not going to have to worry about what you're saying and worry about being able to speak out freely."

"We went back to our Founding Fathers and stuff to find out what defines free speech," Lindell said. "You don't get to use the four swear words, you know, the C-word, the N-word, the F-word or God's name in vain. Free speech is not pornography. Free speech isn't, 'I'm going to kill you.'"

According to Lindell, the new site will officially launch on April 20.

>Last week, legal accountability group Judicial Watch dropped a bombshell: a nearly 600-page report proving the U.S. government has been buying and trafficking “fresh” aborted baby body parts. These body parts, purchased by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to “humanize” mice and test biologic drugs in scientific experiments, came from babies up to 24-weeks-old gestation, just weeks from being born.
>Recent emails uncovered by Judicial Watch between FDA employees and the California-based Advanced Bioscience Resources (ABR) prove the agency spent tens of thousands of dollars buying aborted babies for unethical scientific experiments between 2012 and 2018.
>Emails between FDA officials and ABR employees reveal disturbing conversations as they collaborate to buy and sell aborted fetuses. Records indicate ABR was paid $12,000 upfront per baby, some survivable out of the womb, between the gestational age of 16-24 weeks. Most purchases are for intact thymuses and livers shipped “Fresh; on wet ice.”

cuz when you're big bad globohomo bloomberg, you can purposefully misadvise everyone, profit, and nobody will come after you

WEDNESDAY, APR 21, 2021 - 10:15 AM
There was a lot of market drama ahead of - and during - this morning's Bank of Canada announcement.

About 9 minutes before the 10am press release, Bloomberg blasted what appears was a fat fingered (and false) MT Newswires headline which said "Bank of Canada Maintains Its QE Purchases", which was a shock to consensus expectations that the BOC would taper its QE by C$1BN (not because it wants to but because it has to).

This is how Bloomberg's Laura Cooper laid out market expectations ahead of the BOC decision:

Governor Macklem and Co. want to avoid reaching a 50% ownership threshold too soon. Its purchases since last March are already more than one-third of sovereign bonds outstanding, the highest among its peers. And reduced issuance adds to the need to slow purchases –- there are’t enough bonds to buy following a 4-fold run-up in its balance sheet from a year-ago. An anticipated CAD1 billion reduction from its CAD4 billion weekly pace is largely baked in, and follows a scaling back last October. But even as reductions will be across the curve, confirmation could leave the belly vulnerable where the composition of purchases to-date have been tilted

So, needless to say, when the same BBG blasted said MTN headline, the Loonie tumbled in kneejerk reaction as it meant that the BOC would keep conditions overly dovish even if it meant the bond market would risk running out of bonds soon.

All of that changed, however, the moment the actual BOC statement hit, which revealed that - as expected - the BOC would indeed taper QE by C$1BN from C$4BN to C$3BN, saying that "effective the week of April 26, weekly net purchases of Government of Canada bonds will be adjusted to a target of CAD 3 billion. This adjustment to the amount of incremental stimulus being added each week reflects the progress made in the economic recovery."

Below are some further key quotes from Putin's speech on Foreign Policy...

"We behave in a restrained, modest manner. Oftentimes we do not respond to outright rudeness; we want to have good relations. We are not looking to burn any bridges."

"I hope no one will think of crossing so-called 'red lines' against Russia, which we ourselves will define in each separate case. Russia’s response will be symmetrical, fast and tough. The organizers of any provocations threatening our core security interests will regret their actions more than they've regretted anything in a long time."

"But now this practice is degenerating into something more dangerous — for example, an attempt to organize a coup in Belarus and an attempt to assassinate this country's president.... The West is silent on this matter."

"You can have any position on Lukashenko's policies, but staging a goverment coup and planning the assassination of a head of state is too much."

Maricopa County Senate audit observers forced to sign non-disclosure agreements

PHOENIX — Among concerns surrounding transparency in an effort to recount ballots cast in the 2020 election in Maricopa County, ABC15 has learned the company leading the effort is now requiring legal documents be signed by volunteers who want to participate.

Tuesday, an anonymous observer who volunteered to take part in watching the hand recount of ballots, sent ABC15 a copy of an agreement they say Cyber Ninjas is now requiring all observers to sign.

The non-disclosure agreement explains observers must agree to keep information detailing what they saw and experienced while present to themselves, unless given permission by the company.

“The very heart of being an observer is to be able to watch, to observe, to take that information and to share it with others," said Tammy Patrick with the Democracy Fund. Patrick previously worked at the Maricopa County Elections Department from 2003 to 2014.

"To have a non-disclosure agreement is the exact opposite of what the heart of an observation program is supposed to be remedying," she added.

The agreement reads in part:

"I agree that unless I am authorized in writing by Cyber Ninjas, Inc. and the Arizona State Senate, I will not disclose any Confidential Information to any person who is not conducting the Audit... Furthermore, I agree that during the course of the audit to refrain from making any public statements, social media posts, or similar public disclosures about the audit or its findings until such a time as the results from the audit are made public..."

Honeywell has agreed to pay $13 million in fines and compliance costs after company officials sent multiple engineering and technical documents to China with details of multiple aircraft, including the Lockheed Martin F-35 and F-22, over a seven-year period, the U.S. State Department said May 3.

The settlement allows Honeywell to pay $8 million in fines over a two-year period, plus another $5 million on compliance measures, according to the consent decree released by the State Department’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC).

The measures include conducting an audit of the company’s arms export compliance program and hiring an external compliance officer to oversee Honeywell’s adherence to the terms of the settlement, Honeywell said in a statement to Aviation Week.

The State Department reviewed 71 drawings that Honeywell exported or transferred to China, according to a charging document. The unauthorized release of drawings for parts and components for the engines of the F-35, F-22 and Boeing B-1B “harmed U.S. national security,” the DDTC document said.

Honeywell’s statement does not acknowledge any harm to national security due to the self-reported offenses.

“The issues Honeywell reported involved technology that was assessed as having an impact on national security, though is commercially available throughout the world,” a Honeywell spokesman said. “No detailed manufacturing or engineering expertise was shared.”

The arms export violations occurred over two different periods, according to the DDTC charging document.

In July 2015, Honeywell Aerospace’s Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) exported drawings with data controlled under International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) to China and Taiwan, the charging document said. Honeywell self-reported the violations in December 2015, and informed the State Department of the corrective actions it was taking to prevent further violations in September 2016.

But Honeywell reported another series of ITAR violations in October 2018. The ISC organization had without authorization developed a new process to get around the previous corrective actions to comply with an accelerated procurement schedule, according to the charging document.

ISC believed the alternative process complied with the ITAR, but the team “either failed to review the export control classifications for multiple technical documents or used a classification analysis method that did not properly categorize the documents,” according to the charging document.

the head of the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division said the Senate's farming out of 2.1 million ballots from the state's most populous county to a contractor may run afoul of federal law requiring ballots to remain in the control of elections officials for 22 months.

>Ludicrous. They are contract employees of the State, and therefore the ballots are still in the possession of the State.

She said these measures are “completely unnecessary steps if the goal of the audit is to validate the election results.”

>If there's nothing to find, why is she so concerned about 'unnecessary steps?'

>Notice how the DOJ would not look at anything after the election because it is a states issue. But now that a state is looking at the issue they are Johnny on the spot.

Bailey has been in the spotlight before, seen sporting the exact same wristband on many occasions, including when the media was celebrating him for his incompetence in allowing a deranged leftist gunman to open fire on congressional Republicans during a baseball practice in Virginia in 2017.

GOP House Whip Steve Scalise suffered bullet wounds and nearly died on the spot as a result of Bailey’s negligence in protecting him — which was his only job that day as Scalise’s personal bodyguard.

Bailey was awarded both the Medal of Valor AND the Badge of Bravery for this great achievement.

More Dominion stuff  So they delete the database directory before handing it over, auditors go and recover it - and find no election database on the device! That's why they wont give the passwords, or access to the router logs which would show the server connecting elsewhere, along with everyone else that accessed it.

There's a reason why it went on for so long, because the republicans agreed to not look ahead of time (but this agreement expired in 2017)

You may not want to admit this, but Trump and his administration got the ball rolling on the vaccines that are produced in the US. It usually takes years, close to a decade or even more in some cases, of government-monitored testing before any kind of therapy is approved and released to the public. That's just the way it is. Trump got the FDA to streamline the process to get the US-produced Covid vaccines that he negotiated with the pharmaceutical companies to make to get to market faster. So technically speaking, he was involved with the process, and if he wasn't, we'd still be waiting for Moderna, Pfizer, and J&J to get something produced and approved. So, while you might think it's arrogance, he does have every right to claim that he's responsible for the vaccines, because like it or not, he is. He was involved. It was a victory for him. Biden has no right to claim it.

You're right. Trump deserves credit for steamrolling the vaccine process. However, both he and Biden, in my estimation, stunk the joint out when it came to distributing the vaccine.

Every American lives in a school district, and every school district has a gymnasium and/or an auditorium. Our country also has the most efficient supply system in the World, i.e, the US Military and State National Guards. Instead of allowing the distribution of vaccine to become a mish-mash of money-grubbing pharmacies, hospitals and medical practices fighting over "Dollars For Doses", every school system in the country should have been ordered to shot down their gyms for a week or two and notify its residents who wanted the vaccine when to show up and get shots administered by Military Corpsmen at a tremendous savings to taxpayers, and with much greater efficiency.

And, while I'm on the subject of vaccination, I have a modest proposal to increase the number of people getting vaccinated without violating anybody's freedom of choice. At the present time, it's my understanding that nobody who gets infected with Covid pays one cent for medical treatment, testing etc., by virtue of an Executive Order issued by Trump, which is another thing he deserves credit for either in spite of, or because of, its socialized medicine tendency, depending on your point of view.

I propose that Biden issue an Executive Order modifying Trump's, by acknowledging every American's right to decline vaccination, with one caveat: Those individuals who aren't prevented from being vaccinated by July 31st due to medical history or conditions will have to bear the full financial burdens of treatment should they become infected, without any assistance from the Government.

Further, private health insurance providers shall be free to surcharge their insureds who decline vaccination. Let the market decide.

Think the virus and vaccination is all a bunch of Mainstream Media propaganda? Then roll them bones, but no more tax dollar safety net if you get the virus. It's a "win-win".

The entire Database of Maricopa County in Arizona has been DELETED! This is illegal and the Arizona State Senate, who is leading the Forensic Audit, is up in arms. Additionally, seals were broken on the boxes that hold the votes, ballots are missing, and worse. Mark Brnovich, the Attorney General of Arizona, will now be forced to look into this unbelievable Election crime. Many Radical Left Democrats and weak Republicans are very worried about the fact that this has been exposed. The DELETION of an entire Database and critical Election files of Maricopa County is unprecedented. Many other States to follow. The Mainstream Media and Radical Left Democrats want to stay as far away as possible from the Presidential Election Fraud, which should be one of the biggest stories of our time. Fox News is afraid to cover it—there is rarely a mention. Likewise, Newsmax has been virtually silent on this subject because they are intimidated by threats of lawsuits. One America News (OAN), one of the fastest growing networks on television, and the “hottest”, is doing a magnificent job of exposing the massive fraud that took place. The story is only getting bigger and at some point it will be impossible for the weak and/or corrupt media not to cover. Thank you to OAN and other brave American Patriots. It is all happening quickly!

>Arizona Senate President recently sent a letter to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, outlining the major issues discovered already in the audit, and offering to settle them without additional subpoenas or compulsory action. In the letter, says Epshteyn on Steve Bannon’s podcast, it reveals, “Pallet five, batch 2976, 200 pink slip total, actual total 165. They are missing 35 ballots out of that batch.” He added, “35 out of 100 is 17.5%. 10 out of 200 is 5%.”

RUNDOWN:
>Background
Jürgen Conings (46) is a trained sniper and currently a corporal in the Belgian army. He did many foreign missions, and was then transferred to the military police. When he shared SS stuff on facebook he got sued over racism by the army, but the case was dropped. However he got put on a watchlist, was demoted in rank and received a function as shooting instructor. Due to this he had clearance to access the armory at the military base of Leopoldsburg where he was stationed.
>MONDAY
Jürgen's girlfriend found a letter in which he wrote he was going to attack the system and didn't expect to come out alive. He also targetted Belgian defense minister Ludivine Dedonder, and communist virologist Marc van Ranst specifically. Girlfriend gave the letter to police. EARLIER THAT DAY, Jürgen drove to the military base, went to the armory and collected four M72 LAW single-use rocket launchers, a FN P90, a FN Five-seveN, 2000 rounds of ammo, and a bulletproof vest under the disguise of organising a shooting drill. He loaded these in his Audi Q5 and drove off.
>TUESDAY
Police found the car abandoned in Dilserbos (Limburg province) with the rocket launchers inside. MASSIVE MANHUNT: initially 350 police and 150 military, APCs & helicopters. Virologist Marc van Ranst and his close family placed in a safehouse under police protection.
>WEDNESDAY
Jürgen is believed to be in Hoge Kempen National Park, close to the Dutch and German borders (51 00' N, 5 40' E). The park and the highway going through it are now closed. Park area: 12,000 hectares (46 sq miles) of woodland.
>THURSDAY
Security perimeter extended and the press asked to stay away. Search party increased to over 1000. Dutch/German special forces on standby. Local mosques closed.
>FRIDAY
20 sq km searched so far. Tent found and tested for DNA & prints. Jürgen not yet found.

According to Papadopoulos:

" My opinion is that Durham is very real…I think by this summer we're going to have a final conclusion on Durham. This thing can't last forever but I just think he's giving Biden over 100 days to start really dropping what he has. And if he has nothing, I'm on the record of saying I put my reputation on the line regarding Durham."

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2021/05/george_papadopoulos_i_put_my_reputation_on_the_lin e_that_durham_will_expose_conspiracy_by_obama_admi n.html

George: It's a complicated story and If people want to get a full A-Z, I have a book out that details it in a chronological manner called Deep State Target… Sydney Powell about two years ago had filed some sort of request and we learned that Mifsud's phone is in the hands of the DOJ… We just don't know where this person went, why he's being hidden and who's hiding him… They know exactly who this is. I think they're waiting for it and they're going to expose it. And, it's going to come at the right time after some of this stuff with the audit comes out. That's what I predict of course.

Conradson: What about Durham? Is he real or is he just another big lie?

George: My opinion is that Durham is very real… I know who he has interviewed in October 2019. Specific guys with the U.S. intelligence community that should not have been meeting with me, this infamous Australian diplomat, we know he's spoken to the Italians, to various governments. He has been working non-stop since 2019 where I think he got all the juicy info back then. Then Barr appoints some special council a month before Biden goes to the White House, and now Durham is simply, in my opinion like I said I don't talk to Durham, he's waiting for the right moment to expose what he has learned and I think it is going to be tantamount to conspiracy in the Obama Administration. I truly believe that. I think he is incredibly real and I would actually put my entire reputation on the line saying this… It's going to be very interesting to see when and how that information comes out, how the media tries to deflect or cover it up.
