Memphis, Tenn. — A drive-thru order turned violent Tuesday when a woman opened fire into a Memphis Burger King, according to Memphis Police.

The Memphis Police Department said it all started when a woman got angry about how long she was waiting for her food at a Burger King on Winchester Road.

According to MPD, the woman was in the drive-thru line when she got out of her car, walked up to the window and started arguing with a Burger King employee.

Burger King surveillance video showed the woman pull out a black handgun from her car, lean into the drive-thru window and open fire.

Luckily, none of the employees were hit and the workers took off running through a backdoor, police said.

Memphis Police are asking that if you know who this woman is or anything about this crime, to please call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH.In a statement obtained by FOX13, Burker King said that they do not condone violence of any kind and are fully cooperating with police in this investigation.

“We do not tolerate or condone violence of any kind at our restaurants because the safety of our team members and guests is our top priority. Fortunately, no one in the restaurant was injured during this incident. The restaurant operator is fully cooperating with authorities on their ongoing investigation.”

Any information that leads to the shooters’ arrest could be worth up to $1,000.

APRIL 13--A Tennessee woman is jailed on attempted murder charges after she allegedly leaned into a Burger King’s drive-thru window and opened fire on workers due to the “wait time to be served,” investigators report.

Keona Shonte Jackson, 32, was arrested yesterday in connection with the March 30 shooting at the Memphis restaurant. Charged with two counts of attempted murder and using a firearm during the commission of a felony, Jackson is being held in the Shelby County jail in lieu of $250,000 bond.

A Burger King security camera recorded Jackson firing away at employees. After police this month released still images from the video, a tipster identified Jackson as the wanted woman.

According to a felony complaint, workers Katerria Thomas and Kyara Banks told police that a female patron “got angry regarding the wait time to be served at the restaurant drive-thru window.” Cops allege that Jackson--who was a passenger in a gray sedan--exited the vehicle to argue with the two employees. As the dispute escalated, Jackson allegedly threatened to shoot the women.

A surveillance camera captured Jackson returning to the car and retrieving a black handgun from the vehicle. She then extended her upper body into the drive-thru window and fired “several shots at Thomas and Banks as they fled through the rear door of the business.” Neither worker was hit by the gunfire.

Police recovered two spent .380 caliber shell casings inside the Burger King. A projectile, cops say, was located near the eatery’s restroom doors.

Jackson’s rap sheet includes a pair of theft convictions, one of which was a felony for which she received a two-year prison term, the execution of which was suspended by a judge.
