It's called Just the Tipsy, and it comes in a bottle shape that fits its name: a fairly anatomically correct penis.

Launched in June from Napa, Just the Tipsy is betting its customers will enjoy sipping sparkling rose seurat from a bottle in the form of genitalia. Each bottle costs $37 and is available for purchase on the company's website.

Why does this exist, you might ask. Well, according to CEO Matthew Shore, the initial idea was to market the wine for bachelorette parties and "girls' wine nights."

"We were a couple of dads at a park, watching our kids on the playground, talking about the ridiculous number of bachelorette parties our wives had attended, and the incredible amount of penis tattoos, penis cups, penis straws, penis everything that was involved," the Just the Tipsy website reads. "That’s when the words that would change our lives were spoken: 'What if the champagne bottles were shaped like a penis??'"

The project has been in the works for nearly two years, Shore said, noting that he was surprised by how many winemakers in Napa were open to participating.

"We definitely had plenty of 'Are you serious? Is this a joke?' reactions, but then as we explained what we were going for, it's all been really positive," Shore said. "People like the idea, they find it funny. ... We've definitely had a few folks say it's not for them and they don’t want to be involved in any part of the process, but less often that's the reaction."

The wine's flavor profile is "fairly simple," Shore said. He described it as dry and crisp with a long, ahem, finish. The idea was to ensure the wine appealed to the average imbiber, he added, noting that he wouldn't name the winemakers the company worked with sans their permission.

The next obvious question is: What inspired the penis bottle's particular shape and girth?

Shore said: "I can neither confirm nor deny who the model(s) may have been, but we made sure to go through many rounds of design to make sure it came out perfect." Fair enough.
