A mother has been accused of hosting secret parties with dozens of teens throughout the year and pushing them to have sex with each other.

Shannon Bruga, also known as Shannon O'Connor, is facing 39 criminal charges, including three counts of child molestation.

Teens reportedly told investigators that Bruga would force sexual behaviour among them at parties, coercing non-consensual sexual acts between two teens who were too drunk to remember it.

The 47-year-old mother, from Los Gatos, California, is alleged to have been addicted to using text messages and Snapchat to organise underage booze-filled parties, some of which were attended by as many as twenty teenagers.

Investigators claim that the woman rented a cottage for her son's 15th birthday party and asked the dozen teen boy and girl attendees to put their phones away.

The party allegedly cost over $9,000 (£6,600) in damages to the rental home.

Parties reportedly took place from June 2020 to May 2021 at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic and involved mostly 14 and 15-year-olds.

In another shocking instance, the mother allegedly drove her son and two friends in her car while they were drinking, allowing them to then drive around a high school car park.

At one point it is alleged the son and his friend were hanging off the back of the car when the other boy fell off and lost consciousness for thirty seconds, SFIST reported.

Investigators claim the boy was left with a concussion and "spent the night vomiting," adding that he almost "drowned in the tub due to his intoxication".

Bruga was questioned by police following the incident after a worried witness called 911 – but she was reportedly able to convince authorities that vomit in her SUV was from carsickness.

The mother was arrested on Saturday at her second Idaho family home, she is now awaiting extradition back to Santa Clara County.

She's pretty stupid. All you need to do is let your son have the keys and leave for the weekend. Sex is going to happen.

Definitely with Rosie and her five sisters. Not necessarily with girls. Depends on his popularity level. And yeah, she's dumber than a rock.

A woman accused of throwing drunken parties for her son and his friends in her Silicon Valley-area home where teenagers were encouraged to engage in sex acts was denied bail Wednesday in her first court appearance.

A Santa Clara County Superior Court judge also ordered Shannon O’Connor, 47, who now lives in Eagle, Idaho, not to have contact with any of her 15 alleged victims, KTVU-TV reported. She faces 39 criminal charges, including sexual abuse, sexual battery, child endangerment and giving alcohol to minors.

O’Connor, also known as Shannon Bruga, began throwing the parties in June 2020 in her then-Los Gatos home, where she provided large amounts of alcohol to the teens, prompting some to black out and vomit. She also told the teens not to tell their parents, according to court documents.

In one incident, O’Connor handed a condom to an intoxicated boy and pushed him into a bedroom at her home where a drunken 14-year-old girl was laying on a bed, the court documents state.

In another incident on Dec. 31, a minor girl who had been drinking felt sick and went to the bathroom, where a teen boy followed her, prosecutors said. O’Connor allegedly waited in the bedroom and laughed when the girl returned crying, "He made me bleed. Like he made me bleed."

In other instances, O'Connor would message the teens on Snapchat or via text to leave their homes in the middle of the night to drink at her house. In one case, she allegedly let a minor drive her SUV in the Los Gatos High School parking lot while two teens held on from the back.

One fell off and was knocked unconscious, prosecutors said.

During the drunken, sex parties, O’Connor would often pressure girls into engaging in sexual activity with boys, including her 15-year-old son, prosecutors said.

If the girls did not consent, she would allegedly pull them aside for "a private conversation" until they each went into a room with a boy.

Her sons have been placed in the custody of the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.

Aside from parties, she also faces fraud charges related to a case in which she is accused of making $120,000 in unauthorized charges on a credit card from her employer.

Shannon O’Connor, the “Party Mom” accused of throwing secret alcohol-fueled parties for underage teens in her California mansion where she urged them to engage in non-consensual sex acts with each other while she watched, was hospitalized after being attacked by a group of inmates as she remains incarcerated awaiting trial, court records show.

Five female inmates at the Santa Clara County Jail are accused of entering a dorm room at the Elmwood Correctional Facility unprovoked and viciously beating O’Connor by repeatedly kicking and punching her.

“The assault was carried out using hands and feet, and the level of force used was likely to produce great bodily injury,” a sheriff’s deputy wrote in an affidavit. “No other weapons were used.”

She did not strike or threaten her attackers, the deputy added.

Authorities say the beating, caught on surveillance footage, lasted about 16 seconds before deputies entered and escorted O’Connor out of the dorm room. She was treated at a hospital.

The inmates accused in the attack — Erika Amaya, Danielle Chavez, Sophia Vigil, Anita Quiroz, and Marjaana Gardea — face one count each of assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily harm.

They are scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, records show.

The 47-year-old O’Connor, meanwhile, is being held without bond on 39 criminal charges, including felony child abuse, sexual assault, sexual battery, and providing alcohol to minors.

Prosecutors say she hosted parties for kids, mostly 14 and 15.

She bought vodka and Fireball whiskey, provided condoms, and urged the teens not to tell their parents about the parties. She also allegedly discouraged the children from calling for help when one passed out from getting drunk and vomited, authorities said.

O’Connor allegedly used social media platforms to communicate with students at Los Gatos High School, where two of her sons were enrolled. She would often use Snapchat or text messages, telling teens to leave their homes late at night and come to her house where they could drink alcohol that she had purchased for them.

At one party, O’Connor handed a teenager a condom and pushed him into a room with another drunk teen, officials said.

During a New Year’s Eve party with about five 14-year-olds, she allegedly watched and laughed as a drunk teen sexually battered a young girl in bed.

In another case, she allegedly brought a drunk teen into a bedroom at her home where an intoxicated 14-year-old girl was lying in bed.

Afterward, the girl asked O’Connor: “Why did you leave me in there with him? Like why did you like do that? Like you knew like what he was going to do to me.”

Prosecutors say she also let a minor drive her SUV in a parking lot while two other kids were hanging onto the back of the vehicle. One of the two teens hanging onto the back allegedly fell off and was knocked unconscious.

It won't be her first beating, but probably the only beating we'll hear about.

The California mom accused of hosting depraved sex parties for her teen son conducted disturbing online searches for “hot 16 (year) old teenage girls” and downloaded images of scantily dressed young teens, new reports said.

Shannon O’Connor, 48, made the steamy Google look-ups for prurient youth content on her cellphone, which was confiscated after she was busted in 2021 for throwing the booze-filled teen sex bashes.

The so-called “Party Mom,” who has a court hearing next month, threw the sick shindigs for her 15-year-old son’s friends and classmates at Los Gatos High School in Los Gatos, Calif. — during which kids would be plied with alcohol until some vomited and others were sexually abused while O’Connor watched and laughed, according to court documents.

A new report by KRON4 news said O’Connor’s cellphone contained evidence of her Google searches for things including “good books with young sex” — along with several videos of undressed, underage girls, including TikTok.

“The videos show young girls who appear to be underage. They are dressed in revealing clothing. There is no evidence that the girls in these videos were personally known to defendant,” according to the documents cited by KRON4.

The suspect allegedly lured girls to her home by hosting parties and “facilitated sexual encounters, some consensual and some nonconsensual,” prosecutors reportedly wrote.

Victims reported that O’Connor watched as they were sexually assaulted.

“Evidence admitted at preliminary hearing will show offenses alleged above were committed by defendant as a result of sexual compulsion and for the purpose of sexual gratification,” Deputy District Attorney Rebekah Wise wrote, the news outlet reported.

O’Conner “helped minors sneak out of their homes in the middle of the night without their parents’ knowledge. She would communicate via Snapchat or text message, pick them up … and drive them to her home,” according to Wise.

“She got the children under her care so drunk that many children would vomit, be unable to stand, and even lose consciousness. She urged them to engage in sexual activity with each other,” the prosecutor added.

O’Connor was “very opinionated” about girls who were allowed to attend her parties, according to prosecutors.

“She would reject girls as guests by saying they weren’t ‘pretty enough’ or didn’t ‘put out,’” state the documents obtained by KRON4.

O’Connor also allegedly let minors drive her SUV in the school parking lot.

During a night of drinking with O’Connor and some teens in December 2020, a boy was knocked unconscious and suffered a concussion after he fell from the back of an SUV.

O’Connor told police called by a bystander that she would take the teens home – and then searched for “what to do for a concussion in a teenager” and “cracked skull,” KRON4 reported.

O’Connor’s husband, Robert Amaral, was completely unaware of his wife’s alleged activities, officials said, and has reportedly filed for divorce earlier this year.

“This woman tore my life apart. I have suffered and had to deal with the reputation of being ‘the girl that got raped.’ I will live my high school years with this cloud over me,” one girl told a judge during a court hearing in April, the outlet reported.

“Shannon doesn’t have a conscience. She is a con artist. I will never have the life I once had. And neither should she,” the alleged victim added.

O’Connor moved with her sons to Eagle, Idaho, when she learned that Los Gatos police had begun investigating her in 2021.

She reportedly Googled questions about statutes of limitation, laws against providing minors with alcohol and out-of-state prosecutions, KRON4 reported, citing court records.

When O’Connor was arrested in Idaho in October 2021, police said they found her in her home with 12 underage teens who had slept over the night before, the outlet reported.

Her attorneys will likely try to argue that she believed sexual contact between the teens was consensual, the documents state.

“In order to combat this argument, it is necessary to put on evidence of how many times defendant saw children being sexually abused and still continued to encourage the assaults,” Wise reportedly wrote.

O’Connor, who was attacked by fellow inmates in October 2022, faces charges including endangering the health of a child, sexual battery, annoying or molesting a child, child endangerment and furnishing alcohol to a person under 21.

The mom, who has a Nov. 6 preliminary hearing, has pleaded not guilty to 39 charges, including felony child endangerment and sexual battery, filed by the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office.

Her preliminary hearing is set to begin on Nov. 6 in at the Santa Clara County Hall of Justice.
