Bizarre footage of a huge "cube" hovering over the ocean has sparked a wave of conspiracy theories.

Truth-seeker Scott C Waring, who is known making outlandish claims including spotting a 10,000-year-old alien face on Mars, was convinced that he found an odd shaped UFO while watching livestreams from the International Space Station (ISS)

Posting on YouTube, the UFO hunter believed the mysterious "craft" is getting ready to leave the ocean and launches into space.

The ISS footage, taken on last Tuesday (October 12), shows a cloud-like substance staying motionless right above the ocean.

"I noticed this strange shape over the ocean when using the space station live cam," Scott wrote on UFO Sightings Daily.

"The object is a cube UFO over the ocean. It may have recently come out of the ocean, leaving the ocean floor and getting ready to leave into space."

In a close-up screenshot, Scott said he could see "two smaller squares attached" to the side of the solid UFO.

"This is 100% proof that UFOs can been seen from the Space Station," he added.

One eagle-eyed viewer spotted a huge shadow below the cube UFO while a second wrote: "Geez you get the best sightings ever out of anyone in this world!"

A third added: "Interesting is the shadow, that is making it impossible that this is just a glitch."

Meanwhile, a Google Maps user spotted a bright UFO "casually flying" over suburban England.

The picture of a reflective craft was shared on Reddit as users speculated theories of aliens making visits to planet Earth.

Other conspiracy theorists believed they had caught a UFO flying close to the Cumbre Vieja volcano on Spain's La Palma while it was violently exploding and setting lava shooting into the sky.
