The Scottish accent has been voted the sexiest in the UK, according to a new study.
A survey by international dating app happn asked 2,000 people which accents they found the most attractive - and us Scots came out on top.
A total of 21 per cent of voters chose the Scottish accent, with Geordie in second with 17 per cent as the Welsh accent came in at third place.
Northern Irish and the Queen's english were also featured in the top five most sexiest in the UK.
On the other end of the scale, Essex was voted the 'most unattractive' accent with just three per cent of voters considering it sexy.
Leeds, Birmingham, Cockney and Scouser were also ranked at the least sexiest accent in the UK.
In the age of online dating and voice-noting, who we are speaking to and what they sound like is of more interest than ever before.
A huge eight of of ten people across the UK said the way their partner sounds is vital if the relationship is going to work.
The findings also offered an insight into the types of voices Brits are attracted to, with husky tones taking the lead (16%).
When it comes to Brits’ own voices, over half - 53 per cent - alter the way they sound in some way when speaking with someone they find attractive.
One in five said they play down their own accent because they feel self-conscious.
