The owner of a drug rehab clinic in central Florida is facing drug charges.

The Seminole County Sheriff's Office said Misty Leigh Gilley, 50, sold fentanyl right out of a drug rehabilitation center that she ran in Altamonte Springs.

Authorities arrested her on Monday. She's also facing charges of possession of cocaine.

The sheriff's office said undercover agents bought the narcotics from Gilley at her home, which also served as her business.

Agents found evidence of illicit drug use in the same room where Gilley held peer-to-peer group therapy sessions, the sheriff's office said.

"I’m proud of our team who acted swiftly to bring her into custody and hold her accountable for her actions," said Sheriff Dennis Lemma. "I never thought we would have to be worried about someone running a drug treatment facility dealing and administering drugs on the inside of the location. It’s a sad day in our society when you can’t even trust the locations that claim they are helping to get you clean."

Gilley is free on bond.

The sheriff's office said there's been 105 drug overdose deaths in Seminole County this year, a 23-percent bump over last year's numbers at this time.
