A Vassalboro man, who stalked a woman, stole her father's ashes and her daughter's geckos, has been sentenced.
Court documents obtained by CBS13 show 40-year-old Edward Robinson pleaded guilty to domestic violence stalking, theft, burglary, and several other charges.
Prosecutors say Robinson assaulted the victim earlier this year, threatened to kill her, then sent her more than 200 texts and Facebook messages.
He also took geckos belonging to the victim's daughter and according to the Kennebec Journal, he also stole an urn containing the ashes of the victim's father.
The paper reports Robinson was sentenced 10 years in prison but could serve only four if he meets conditions of his probation.
