I liked it. They set the tone by saying 766 days until Hiroshima. Since it's a period piece they compare it to Mad Men, a show I stopped watching because they focused on style over substance.

Manhattan is more subtle, the characters are believable and the story already has a sense of urgency despite knowing how things turned out...

I didn't think he was all that unlikeable in the beginning. Irritating at times, yes, but still mostly on the likeable side. This season it's like he has a God complex. It's his way or the highway and he knows everything and blah blah blah. Just like this week when:

He thinks that if he isn't involved, it can't possibly work.

Yeah I read where people were slamming Agents of Shield and said it took until the 8th or 10th episode to get better.

I liked it out of the gate...vague references to Ironman and Thor etc....and there aren't really any superheroes so far :lol:

Last night I was little displeased with the Falling Skies finale.....found a great article where the author makes a good point on how the show jumped the alien in season 2...

the author had similar thoughts as me...he liked the premise, watched the show faithfully and then it started slipping...


one of the more salient points was something that I've mentioned....there's a cheese factor that comes from the Mason family as a whole making decisions for a group of people based on their emotions....not tactical decisions...

Yeah, I have Hulu Plus, dunno why, it's $8/month, shows ads, and doesn't have anything I look for most of the time. And some of the stuff can only be watched on a PC, not your TV.
