Star Trek - Disco season 2
:| I like Anson Mount. He was great in Hell on Wheels. Here he plays Christopher Pike.
Even trying to ignore the canon-killing plots and their unapologetic new ideas, I'm not sure why I continue to watch this.
It's like they have 30 million for special effects and then write absolute shit stories that don't make sense.

The Kominsky Method on Netflix.
It's about 2 older guys navigating the final chapters of their life and it's both very funny and touching in the same episode. I think you have to be at a certain age (maybe where you have less years in front of you than behind you) to fully like and want to watch this, but its one of the few things on TV that really show what a long-term male friendship looks like. I'm 2 episodes in and I want to see more.

Do we need a Discovery thread?
Here's an example of what's wrong with the internet. This is from the comment section of a Star Trek Discovery podcast recap thread. A person says thanks for the podcast, but the new Discovery show is not for him. He's very measured with his opinions, good or bad. Then a person responds with this. I'll only relay his opening sentence:
"You are one of those huh? Got influenced by the online hate community..."
Instantly he insults the guy and considers his opinion the result of peer pressure, rather than having the right to like or dislike a TV show.

American Horror Story : Apocalypse - finished the season.
It got worse and like always degenerated into a mess of thoughts, ideas, imagery that had little to do with the initial plot ideas.
Too bad, the camerawork and mood created is always top notch on this show along with some of the acting talent.

I finished it. It was ok I guess. It's supposed to be humorous, but I didn't really find myself laughing at it. It was originally written by the lead vocalist of My Chemical Romance, if that helps any. Maybe he should stick with music. I guess people of his generation would be more into it. It's by no means a suitable replacement for Daredevil or The Punisher.

Yea, I finished it too. Felt about the same. They could have condensed the entire series down to about 4 episodes and it would have been more interesting. Zero character development, they all keep making the same choices over and over expecting a different result.

I'm pretty sure Project UFO is it
That one is too far back. I'm thinking of one from late 80's, early 90's maybe into 2000.
It featured this actor I can see in my mind but can't think of other shows he was in. It was a weekly procedural sort of thing too.

Yeah, I binged. A lot of cool ones. There was only 1 or 2 that made me roll my eyes. None of them are longer than 30 minutes, and a few of them are less than 10 minutes.
Verdict: Pretty cool. Check the series out if you like mostly animated stuff. 1 episode had live actors (Topher Grace and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Episode 16, I believe). Some of the animations look pretty close to lifelike, others are clearly cartoons. All of them are adult-oriented.
For those that are wondering, it's on Netflix.

It became a meta experience as it played out in real time because the growing weekly popularity of the podcast brought increased attention to the case. Depending on what you believe, it either helped or hindered Adnan's quest for justice. Let me know if you think he's guilty or innocent based on what they present.

I'm still off work until next week, DirectvNow, Hulu,Amazon,Netflix and all internet usage. I've been home 24/7 and I've been really bad the last month or so motivation wise. Been binging a LOT of TV. Multiple tv series, sometimes a season a day.
My data the next 7 months will be a fraction of what I've been using. Once I'm back on the island, I'm busy 7 days a week and have little time for TV.
My average has been about 30 Gigs a day this month. The last week has been closer to 65 a day.

Mentioned this before in passing. Inordinate amount of children/people suffering from anxiety and depression. I believe it's tied to our new world of relating online and doing most of our preferred communicating through 'screens'.
I'm a big offender myself and if I told you what I haven't been doing outside in the past four years it would be embarrassing. It's my fault, I'm walking the path...but I can't seem to get off it. Every day it gets a little worse. Inside = safe, outside = shit. And if people knew my past, this isn't me. Exploring life used to be such a vibrant thing to do.
Oh well, that's me here for the night. Have a pleasant evening.

Peopling wears me out. And I've been on a tight budget all winter. Starting next week I'll be alone less and less as the island season gears up. In a few weeks I will be surrounded by people, very active and extremely busy nearly 24/7 until November. Media consumption will drop to an hour or so a day. Still don't have or want a smartphone.
