Epix is showing one. Actually, the entire show was released in France last year. Epix just picked it up. You can find the entire show online. And it's kinda weird that it didn't air on Fox since they had a hand in it's production. Anyway Gabriel Byrne's in that one. I believe it's been picked up for a second season.

There's also a British miniseries version of it created by BBC One that was picked up by AMC and it's airing on AMC Premiere. 3 episodes. Robert Carlyle's in that one.

I don't always talk about the things I watch. Some things just aren't worth reporting on. For example, I gave Dispatches from Elsewhere an honest shot, but I couldn't get into it. Partly because I know that the chick is actually a guy (transgender in real life). Mostly because I think the story is slow and boring. The idea was pretty cool, just bad execution. I gave The October Faction on Netflix a try, but it came across as too young adultish for my tastes.

I see the banner for it every time I open Prime to watch Chuck, is it worth adding to my list of stuff to watch?

It depends. Apparently, some Swedish guy had a book of art that mixed modern day/yesteryear small town/farm town images with elements of science fiction. Some dude got a hold of the book and wrote stories to the art, got the Swedish guy's permission, and voila! We have a TV show.

It's science fiction, but more often than not the episodes are more modern day drama with a little futuristic scifi in the background. Some of the episodes are sad. I keep watching to see if the events of episode 2 will be resolved (because what happened in episode 2 pissed me off, lol), and they keep touching on the effects that the events of episode 2 had on the characters, with a few side stories thrown into the mix. It's interesting.

Finished Ozark Season 3. This show is really good, I doubted it when I heard a guy on a podcast raving it's better than Breaking Bad. I think the longevity of Breaking Bad, being good for as many seasons as it was, still makes it a better show.. but if Ozark keeps this up a few more seasons I definitely think it's in the running as one of the best shows at least that I've seen.

Fantastic show. Much better than Naked & Afraid imo.

Actually wasn't really on my radar, but I had a buddy work on it as a medic who checked in on the contestants every 10 days or so, so I know it's legit. They drop off people in the middle of nowhere, separated from one another, in northern Canada to survive with just 10 basic survival items for as long as they can (their selection of items is stuff like tarps, bow, knife, saw, etc). They're mostly survival nerds to some extent. The winner is last person standing (could go up to a year they say), and takes home $500,000. It's cool to see each of their approaches. Some really focus on building great shelters and foraging, others focus on fishing or hunting with traps, bows, etc. Nobody has died yet but they have to do their own filming and check in only twice per day via text, so the danger up in bear and moose country is very real. Some contestants drop out quick due to hearing bears, or not being able to find food, others have to be medically pulled because they're malnourished, or in one case someone was going neurotic and hording food but not eating it. Loneliness is a major factor.

The winner of S6 was actually just on Joe Rogan this week (won't say his name in case anyone takes my recommendation and watches the show). Dude took down a moose with a basic bow, he's a badass.
