This was a fascinating if absolutely disgusting history! The final comments on the show were very interesting. About how enraged many southerners and redneck/far right people were that America elected a black president in Obama - nothing to do with politics, just skin colour. The producers posited the theory that Trump's election came about a lot from his rhetoric and carry on about foreigners and immigration etc..

After watching this, I don't think I ever want to hear Australians are called out for a racist past - it pales in comparison.

I do recommend watching it if you can.

It seems to be improving each episode. The villain has introduced some genuine humour.

Perhaps the secret is not to take it too seriously. Coming off the back of The Expanse, it's definitely in a different category of realism. I have struggled to adjust.
