Unfortunately as I mentioned elsewhere, the Michael B Jordon Clancy movie sucked big time.

That's totally a Kang thing. He called himself He Who Remains but he was wearing Kang's colors in his clothing, and he was wearing Immortus' medallion (Kang becomes Immortus later on in the comics). And having a statue of himself in the TVA is totally a Kang thing. :lol:

I guess since the news broke that Jonathan Majors was cast as Kang in the next Ant-man film, it was pretty exciting to see his (or one of his) character(s) introduced in a Disney+ TV series. Between him and Julia Louis-Dreyfus' character Contessa Valentina-whatever, they're really connecting the tv-series with the films moving forward. But Kang's a serious supervillain, and he's supposedly going to be all over the place in Phase 4/5. And the whole multiple timeline/multiverse thing with Kang and his variants running around is gonna be fun.

**Almost halfway into the first season of Voyager and I went into this one with some trepidation because I have heard/read mixed reviews about Voyager. I loved DS9 and said that it became my 2nd favorite Trek series Well, that might not last long because IMHO Voyager has started out STRONG right out of the gate. Obviously there are 6-1/2 more seasons to watch, but so far, I like it a lot.

As a guitar player, I'm conditioned to murder any drunkard at the gig screaming "Free Bird" at the top of his lungs. But funny story, a while ago, I was a member of a local music crew and we would always go check out each other's gigs. One night my buddy Noah and his band was playing. Noah was the front man/rhythm guitarist and his backing band was pretty good. Noah broke a string, and had to take 5 to go fix it, so his lead guitarist had to take the mic. We in the crew were left of the stage and Mike (the lead guitarist) was no frontman. He was up there like, "Uh, so what do y'all want us to play?" Without a beat, the entire crew screamed at the top of our lungs "FREE BIRD!!!!" just to fuck with him. He sat there staring at us like a rabbit in headlights while the rest of the crowd laughed their asses off. I could see backstage where Noah was working on his guitar, and he was literally rolling on the ground, holding his stomach, crying laughing.

my gf and i enjoy watching it together, i'm not going to tell you it got significantly different than those first few episodes you tried out. there is a lot of wokeness and LGBTQIA+ characters in it, which i can see doesn't necessarily connect with all audiences

i typically give shows 1-2 episodes to hook me in. if they fail on that, i watch so little tv that i just move on to the next thing that i have heard people talking about :shrug:
