CORBETT, Ore. — Crews rescued a woman who slipped from the Multnomah Falls trail on Monday and was left clinging to a tree root above a 300-foot cliff, Corbett Fire said.

The fall was reported at about 3 p.m. Monday at Multnomah Falls in the Columbia River Gorge.

Initial reports state a woman slipped off the trail and fell about 30 feet down.

She grabbed on to some tree roots and was hanging over a 300-foot cliff, according to Corbett Fire.

First responders pulled her to safety. She was unhurt, but was still evaluated by medics at the scene.

Yeah, let's walk on the edge of a trail near a cliff in the snow. There's a 68- year-old man in the Philippines who's looking for a soulmate who'll be available after he recovers from a crocodile bite, You two are made for each other.
