Ahead of National Hot Sauce Day on January 22, Instacart has just shared an extensive new report highlighting America's spicy behavior, revealing the country's favorite hot sauces.

Beyond just the top 10 list of popular hot sauces, the Instacart survey, entitled "Hot Take on America's Favorite Hot Sauces," also dishes on the most popular hot sauce in each state and which states purchase and consume the most hot sauce (spoiler: North Dakota leads the pack).

If you're looking to dive right into the spicy findings, make sure to check out Instacart's "Hot Take on America's Favorite Hot Sauces."

1. Sriracha sucks.
2. I use Frank's RedHot to make wing sauce, but I don't do much else with it.
3. Cholula is hit or miss with me.
4. Never heard of Burman's.
5. I use Tapatio pretty regularly. It's my home sauce (I think Porky turned me on to it).
6. I used to use Tabasco all the time but now I only use it if I can't get anything else, or if that's all they have at a restaurant (which technically, I haven't sat down in in over 2 years now).
7. Texas Pete isn't hot at all. Ok flavor, but it's a joke in the heat department.
8. I've never tried Heinz, well, because it's Heinz.
9. I don't like Louisiana's flavor, and like Texas Pete, it lacks in heat.
10. I've never heard of Valentina.

There was a habanero based Mexican hot sauce that a family member picked up for me while they were down in Cancun a bunch of years ago. It was fantastic but I can't remember the name of it. I'd love to find it again.

Yeah, I'm not sure why so many people love Sriracha. I've tried it multiple times and it's just not good.

Sriacha is only good on Asian foods like soup. I like Texas Pete.. I think Tabasco sucks.

Agree on Tabasco, that's another one that I don't understand why it's popular. It takes like shit.

Tabasco is the only American hot sauce I know by name

Tabasco must be popular in Aus... Shauno uses a lot of it on 4WD 24-7.

It's not bad, and it's dirt cheap. It's not overly hot, I would put it in the same vein as Tapatio.

Depends what Im eating.

Cup Noodle or rice I use Sriracha
Eggs and potato I like Tabasco or Tapatio
Franks I typically use on chicken

I always have left over hot sauce packs from Del Taco so I will use those on burritos

Truth be told, the best hot sauces I've ever had in US came from those family run unregistered taco joints. You know, the ones that are in normal houses. The women stuff their cleavage in your face as they serve and the guys size you up like they're gonna kill you. Once they know you you're like family.

Their sauces blow your mind.

He would wander into Mexican homes demanding food. The very religious Mexicans thought he was a demon speaking in tongues (it was just his accent), so they fed the beast before them.

His fractured mind has rationalized his illegal-trespass-meal-stops as choosing "unregistered taco joints in people's houses".

I agree with Muddy, Sriracha on asian food, not on everything. Franks on pizza or eggs. Valentina (i.e. Mexican Ketchup) and green Cholulua on Mexican is my go-to.

I like buying random hot sauces to try too, but man some are terrible. There's clearly a hot sauce craze going on, but some people just shouldn't be making it

I would vehemently deny this, except if what you say is true I wouldn't know myself.

If food is good and I leave alive, mission accomplished. An aggressive deepthroat b****** in the toilet would make a nice dessert, but not strictly necessary.

Yeah, but those are made fresh and not typically sold. But I agree, those are the best
