A Woolworths supermarket customer has spoken of her disappointment after spotting an “unAustralian” discovery at her local store.

Speaking to 7NEWS.com.au, NSW shopper Shelly said she became frustrated after taking a closer look at Woolies’ Mother’s Day range of gift ideas.

Included in the display was a framed print which included a floral design and the words “Best Mom Ever”.

Shelly said she was upset to see the $8 buy had included the American spelling of the word “Mom”, instead of “Mum” which is used in Australia.

“Spotted this in my local Woolies in Tuncurry, NSW,” she told 7NEWS.com.au.

“Pretty disappointed at the spelling of ‘mum’. Last time I checked, we’re living in Australia and Woolies is an Australian store.

“I don’t want my kids giving me presents with ‘mom’ on it, I’m not an American.

“This is just unAustralian. Lift your game Woolies.”

7NEWS.com.au understands that there was an error in ordering the photo frame in question and that Woolworths has followed up with its supplier.

:nono: You are supposed to find something benign to be 'outraged' over and whine about it to anyone that will listen. :hand:
