PERRY, Fla. (WKRC) - A Florida teacher was arrested after, police say, she exchanged explicit messages with one of her students.
38-year-old Julie Hoover is accused of trying to solicit sex from a male student.
The alleged victim was an 18-year-old high school senior at the time.
According to court documents, the student's mother discovered messages on her son's phone between the two of them that were sexual in nature.
She contacted authorities on June 2, but investigators say the two were texting in March and April.
Some of the messages reportedly included Hoover planning to sneak the student into her home while her husband was away at work.
Hoover is charged with one count of an authority figure soliciting or engaging in sex with a student.
She was released on a $15,000 bond, and has not yet entered a plea.
