WASHINGTON (TND) — A man in Ghana allegedly cut off his own penis while he was having a dream about slaughtering a goat, according to GHOne TV, which is based in Ghana.
The man has been identified as 42-year-old Kofi Atta, who is also known as Wofa Atta.
GHOne TV noted that the incident occurred in Assin Fosu on Aug. 12. Atta later woke up “to see his penis chopped off.”
The victim revealed that he had a dream where he was slaughtering a goat to help his wife prepare an evening meal,” GHOne TV noted.

The media outlet reported that Atta’s wife, Adwoa Konadu, was traveling at the time and found out about the ordeal after a neighbor contacted her. When she returned home, “she discovered her husband bleeding from his manhood on a chamber pot” and holding his penis.
She then “got her husband a diaper to help reduce blood flow” and then took him to an area hospital.
While Atta’s condition was not immediately known, Serwaa Amihere, who is an anchor and producer for GHOne TV, tweeted that he “is currently battling for his life.”
She shared a news segment about the case, which included alleged images of the man in recovery.
Amihere also noted that Atta used knives to chop off his penis.
