Music again... I was a pretty accomplished piano and saxophone player, jazz mostly but I love classical as well. Even did some gigs with friends here and there. But I haven't had a piano in my house for several years now and it's not exactly like riding a bike. And playing the sax in an appartment doesn't go over well with neighbors. Your ability to read music and your dexterity slow down considerably when you step back from music, and with the sax my embrasure isn't strong like it used to be.

I'm sure I could get it all back , which is nice to know :D But I just wish it's a skill I hadn't let slip

Can you read music or are you doing tabs/by ear?

For the record I fuggin' hate tabs... it's rare you find one online that isn't riddled with mistakes.

Find Steve Vai's 10 hour workout and buy a metronome. And whatever you do, no matter how frustrated you get, don't quit.

Similar for me but with drums and guitar :(

I keep saying I'll pick the guitar up again but haven't yet...... As for the drums, I haven't touched those in 15 years :(

Red, living off the land is a skill I think I could do. It wouldn't be easy but I think I could handle it if I had to.

I would love to learn how to act! Anytime I try to do anything that involves reading someone elses words and fake feelings, I feel like a complete ass! I wish I could just let go and go with it!

I'd love to learn to play the saxophone.....but first I would have to learn to do this circular breathing thing.....I can multitask like a good un but my brain just will not accept circular breathing

For those of you who said something about being a musician...you can go back. It's easier every time.

I play a guitar and once I stopped beating myself up for not sounding the way I wanted to in my head, it became easier. Youtube is a great inspiration -- you can learn a lot from the free lessons posted.

I'd like better woodworking skills. I designed my deck but needed my brother to actually do the building for me. I want to remodel my kitchen, but it'll require a floor levelling.

I can play piano, but haven't played in so long I'm beginning to forget how. So many of the keys are broken on my antique upright you can' hear what you're trying to play. Think I'll break out my granddaughter's electric keyboard and start practicing as soon as I can use my left hand again.

I guess I'd like to be able to work on my car without the disability getting in the way. It sucks being at the mercy of a mechanic, not to mention having to pay for the service.
