A mysterious TikTok user who claims to be a "time traveller from the year 2198" has said a discovery in the depths of the ocean will change the world forever.
The creator, who posts under the username @timetravelexplorer, has made wild claims that something living in the deep ocean will be discovered within the next two decades.
In the video, which has gained more than 1,300 likes, the self-professed time warper made a list of years of when the discoveries will be made, starting with 2044.
The clip, which has the caption of "at least they exterminate them", shocked social media users with their latest predictions.
The video starts by saying in 2044, "humans finally discover the ocean deeper", with the TikToker suggesting that scientists will delve further than ever before in the deep blue.
It is alleged that three years later "a creature that once was a children's myth becomes reality".
However, in 2054, more than one of the species is discovered, according to the time traveller.

The mysterious creature will then be exterminated by humans in the same year.
However, viewers were left divided over whether to believe the claims, with many dismissing them completely, with one person writing: "You do realise that since you told us this, you messed with the time and space continuum, so now it won't happen."
A second commented: "You can say it to get attention but its not true", while a third questioned: "How come the government ain't told us about you if you real?"
But some users did believe the creator as they took to the comments stunned by the claims, with one user writing: "Wow that's really amazing", while a second added: "Wow... nothing interesting for the next 2.0 odd years then."
