ETOBICOKE, Canada (TND) — A couple in Canada returned home from a trip to find two people had impersonated them and sold their house.

According to CTV News, police said the homeowners left the country in Jan. 2022 for a business trip. The two individuals, who have yet to be identified, hired a real estate agent and put the house in Etobicoke on the market, police said.

They then sold the house and managed to take possession of the property through fake identification. Police added that several months after the sale, the actual homeowners learned their house was sold without their consent.

The man and the woman are both wanted in the mortgage fraud investigation.

No other details have been released.

This must fall down to the real estate agent/solicitors fucking up. There's a whole lot of documentation that needs to happen.
