A Fort Myers man was charged Sunday with disorderly intoxication in public and resisting an officer without violence after deputies say he told them they were zombies there to kill him.
Alan Richard Jahn, 32, has since been released from the Lee County Jail on a surety bond. Deputies were investigating a hit and run in the area of Caserta Lane and Ben C. Pratt/Six Mile Cypress Parkway when they came across Jahn wearing a flip flop and black shorts near the entrance of the Portofino community in Fort Myers, according to a Lee County Sheriff's Office report.
Deputies said Jahn charged a patrol vehicle and began to pound his fists on the hood while a deputy was inside. The deputy backed away, but Jahn again approached and yelled zombies were here to kill him. He said the deputy was a zombie and Jahn was going to get him first.
Deputies ordered Jahn to the ground, but he refused, told them they were zombies again and approached them in a fighting position with his fists clenched. Deputies then Tasered Jahn and took him into custody.
