A school teacher allegedly tried to groom and seduce at least 10 underage students, including the boyfriends of her own daughter.

If found guilty former economics teacher Serena Cator could face a lengthy time behind bars, authorities say.

The 43-year-old from Oklahoma, US, was arrested on March 16 for stalking, grooming and sending sexual images to students and has since been released on bail, Fox News reports.

She faces multiple felony charges which include the alleged sending of nude pictures of herself to male minors at McLoud High School in Pottawatomie County.

An investigation was launched into the conduct of the former teacher in November after a student reported to her own parent that one of the teachers at the school was sexually involved with another pupil.

It is reported by Fox 25 Oklahoma that Cator used social media to stalk and groom the children.

The outlet reports she faces three counts of engaging in sexual communications with a minor by use of technology,

McLoud Chief of Police Kyle Webb said: "We received the information from the school in November 2022, so the investigation pretty much started then.

"It took a little while [since] it was a pretty in-depth investigation, and then we turned everything over to the DA, and they filed three counts against Serena."

Fox 25 Oklahoma claims that it has seen documents showing she had engaged with children from 14 to 18, sharing sexually loaded text messages.

At one point two of the victims are alleged to have been in a relationship with Cator’s daughter.

The station claims she built personal relationships with the mothers of the boys she stalked and would send them images of their sons in class.

The messages would allegedly tell the parents how well their sons were doing.

She was released on a $15,000 (£12,150) bail.

A statement made to the Daily Star from McLoud Public schools said: "Last November, McLoud Public Schools was made aware of a possible incident involving a school employee.

"The allegation initiated a prompt and thorough investigation by the district.

"Immediately, all findings were turned over to the McLoud Police Department and the employee was placed on administrative leave. Subsequently, she is no longer employed by the district.

"The safety of our students is paramount and we will always strive to protect the integrity of McLoud Public Schools."
