Hated all the protagonists and wished for their horrible and immediate death. Only good thing about this film was the 3rd act...too bad the movie was so slow and horrible to get to it. Also, the ending pretty much sucked. So out of a 90 minute film, there was probably 10 minutes that was actually worth watching. :|

I don't care what critics say, it was awesome :lol: Just a great war epic. Some cheesy lines and not much plot... for that matter, it could have been America fighting the Russians or Chinese just as easily as aliens. It was just great war porn, high adrenaline, looked awesome.

If you're not feeling too critical one night, crank up the sound and be sure to watch it in HD!!

Veeeeeeeery low budget, but actually had some good points. Effects were surprisingly good for a film with this low a budget. Acting was pretty bad and a lot of the writing and plot was pretty bad too :lol:

I re-watched "Grown Ups" ( Best Adam Sandler movie imho, the other actors really make it for, plus the hot chicks are pure bonus) and watched the remake of "Karate Kid" Pretty well done, though most if not all of us know the plot. Will Smith's boy may need a few more acting lessons, but worth a watch.

Yup, definitely liked that part....I prefer to be in the dark about everything, just like the characters in the film. That's one reason I loved Cloverfield so much. :thumbsup:

The Fighter

I liked this movie a lot.There was some humor, good ring action and it was based on a true story.The only part I didn't like was that it left off right when Ward's career got interesting...(I watched one of his fights against Gatti....the one where both fighters ended up in the ER after the fight)

Marky Mark did well and Bale was great as the crazy, drug addicted brother.The training and boxing scenes were brief and to the point, nothing like the Rocky franchise one hour slow-mo slugfests.

Documentary about a unit sent Afghan to fight in the Korengal Valley.I guess it's the nature of modern warfare, there wasn't a lot of close up action.I thought the movie was well done but it never gave me a sense of tension or fear.I found it hard to empathize with these guys...although you could see in the interviews after they completed their 15 month tours, that the unit had been through a meat grinder.Wish I could recommend it, but it didn't appeal to me on any level.

Small little film about diabolical possession with only 2 characters .Anthony Hopkins was wonderful as always.It had it's frightening moments, I liked how the possession scenes were somewhat toned down compared to other movies of this kind.The film brought up a good point...how many people are actually possessed and how many have existing mental problems that are manifesting in a similar way?

Overall I enjoyed it :thumbsup:
