Just Go With It - was actually a decent, funny watch. plenty of Hotness too thanks to Mrs Aniston and Brooklyn Decker (BOOOOOBIES ;) ) . . . . tho Nicole Kiddmans character and the way she played it made me want to give her the fist . . . . . . square in her face!!!

Sucker Punch - thought it was awesome, great story+ CGI. the mrs thought the oposite however, but mehh to her.
Emily Browning looks stunning in it, as did most of the other main cast girls. the writers/director/cosume guys certainly know how to get/give the most without needing nudity.
i was horny as a dog after watching it, she was having none of it tho :(

Forrest Gump in a car ffs

I understand less is more in some movies...this one told a small story without much background and ultimately left me wanting.I liked the music, the opening credits and the cinematography, reminded me of a well done 80's film noir.

There's not much driving, the love interest is tepid and the two principal actors had zero to no chemistry.I think Ryan Gosling is a good actor, too bad this story didn't allow for any of it.Thumbsdown from me.

I dug back about 40 pages or so to see that someone had watched and liked it. (Can't recall who but I think it was lance). I liked this movie, a lot. I normally don't like films of this darkness, I did have to force myself to sit through a few parts, but I found that this is a wonderfully crafted film. It does what a film should, take the human condition, in this case a quite depressing side, and portray it in such a way that you feel the emotion of the characters. I'm not sure if it was the performances, the script or just the way it was directed but it hits hard on a psychological and emotional level.

Okay, I fucked up, for some reason I thought this one was the first of the 'new' Batman movies, but after getting part way thru I realized I was wrong. So that kinda sucks. I wanted to see the 'first' one first.

No matter, I don't think my opinion would have changed whether I watched this one or the first one today. This movie was over-hyped as much if not more so than Avatar, and just as much of a waste of time. It was at least an hour too long and I was bored less than half way thru it (2-1/2 hours long....really?). Christian Bale is no better as Batman than any of the predecessors in the franchise. I mean WTF is wrong with him when he becomes Batman, does he also turn into a 20 pack a day smoker with that voice? :wha:

Michael Caine was a horrible Alfred compared to the one from the first set of films.

And while Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker was decent, it didn't deserve anywhere near the hype it got. While in a way his Joker was a bit more true to the Caesar Romero version of the joker from the campy series, I'll take Jack's portrayal of the Joker in the original Batman film, even though as a whole that movie was crap. But then again, so was this one. I don't think I will bother with the Batman Begins film now because I am sure it will just be more of the same crap-fest this thing was. At least you can all get off my back about dissing the film because I didn't see it. Well, I was right to diss and and I was right to not want to watch it. What a waste of the last 150 minutes.

What a waste of the last 150 minutes.

where to start, where to start  I liked this movie overall but did have some problems with it...

let me be brief -

1.Too long
2.Too many bad guys....nothing makes a film lose focus faster than a cavalcade of villains, especially Batman films.
3.I didn't care for the way Harvey Dent was a do gooder and the Joker turned him within one conversation in the hospital.
4.Joker was good, but not that good.
5.Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine were grossly underused.Still liked Caine though as Alfred.
6.Bale's Batman voice - comical at best

I thought the movie was filmed well with excellent production values (not too many over the top villain set pieces) Hong Kong and the motorbike scene looked great.

I can agree with all of that, especially #1 and #3 :)

Except I still stand behind the Alfred part, I liked the original guy way better.

The other Batman film with Bale is quite good....more of a slower - how did I start - origins movie.

More introspective without the flashy stuff.Don't write it off without seeing it, definitely a different animal than the film above.

I may watch it at some point, but not anytime soon. Not while the memory of that crap is still fresh in my mind. At this point, I'd rather have bamboo shoved under my fingernails while being waterboarded and having my toes cut off with a pair of tin snips than to sit thru another Batman craptacular. :|

I watched one of those so called 'Z Grade' films this past weekend (2 pages back now) and it was better than Dark Knight. :nono:

And WTF is it with everyone calling him THE Batman, like there are multiple Batmen running all over Gotham City. It's just Batman you fucking morons :x

I watched that mountain climbing thriller A Time to Kill and nearly shut it off during the first 5 minutes

MOVIE PLOT SPOILER BUT NOT REALLY..
*scene with one guy yoinking the rope while the other two are doing a photo op on the side of the hill...'experienced climbers?' ...sure
