Dona Ana County Toddler Found Face-Down In Dog's Water Bowl

DONA ANA COUNTY, N.M. -- A 15-month-old girl in Dona Ana County was found face-down in water Wednesday.
Dona Ana County Sheriff's deputies said when the toddler was found she was face-down in a dog's water bowl. They say the girl was playing in the backyard with an older sibling when her grandfather found her. He tried to perform CPR on the girl.
When emergency crews arrived, deputies said the girl had a pulse.
"We just saw all the cop cars up there yesterday morning," neighbor Jeremi Sherrick said.
"They were here for a long time, hours," Stephanie Osborne added.
The sheriff's office said she was taken to an area hospital but it is unclear which hospital.
Sheriff's investigators said they found no criminal evidence and will not investigate any further.
At this time deputies have not released the name of the victim or the condition she's in Thursday morning.
