Steak tacos at a local Mexican joint. The steak was a little dry so I had to throw some salsa on it to moisten it up. Generally, it's a good restaurant, but I hate it when they cook shit for lunch and then just use what's leftover for dinner. It's not that it's bad, it's just that it tends to be dry and overcooked. Ideally, they should cook everything from scratch, but if they've got a ton of shit left over from lunch, then the least they can do is try to infuse some moisture back into the shit when they're heating it up.

I finally stopped by Five Guys today. Had the bacon cheeseburger with mayo, lettuce, onions, jalapeños, and mustard. Added a small fries to that.

Well, it was a good burger... not phenomenal, but good. It definitely wasn't worth the $8 or $9 that I paid for it. If I had to choose between Five Guys or Chipotles ( which is right next door to the Five Guys), I'd go with Chipotles.

There are 3 Mexican restaurants near me. I frequent 2 of them. Today, I decided to hit the 3rd that I've never been to before for lunch. I think that's the last time I'll go to them. The water tasted like it came out of the local tap unfiltered (you can't drink the local water here unfiltered, it tastes like shit), the salsa was pure liquid and tasted like it came out of a jar, the refried beans were watery, the rice was dry and flavorless, and the beef in the taco and enchilada tasted bland and dry. The red sauce on the enchilada tasted like it came out of a can. I'm thinking these guys fed me yesterday's leftovers.
