A 17-year-old boy has angered a Texan judge after deciding to unzip his pants and urinate in the courtroom during his trial.

Corey Webb was facing an aggravated assault charge after he allegedly pulled a gun from his backpack and shot an officer at the Smith Juvenile Detention Centre while trying to escape in July 2010.

During last week's trial in Smith County, the judge first reprimanded Webb for continually mumbling during witness testimonies.

Webb then tried to fire his attorney, telling Judge Kerry Russell: "I don't think he's going to defend me to the best of his ability."

When told that meant he would have to represent himself, Lloyd decided to keep his lawyer.

The court was then adjourned for lunch and as people were leaving, Webb unbuckled his pants, walked over to a rubbish bin and peed into it.

The furious judge reprimanded the teen.

"I don't know how you were raised, but peeing in a trash can in a state district courtroom is inappropriate behaviour. This is the second conversation we have had. There won't be a third," Judge Russell said.

When the trial resumed, Webb decided to plead guilty to the shooting and will be sentenced next week.

His lawyer requested a mental competency test after he urinated in the bin.

what was the saying from the London riots thread? Something about how people don't understand these days that their actions have consequences....

Judge gives him a reprimand for doing that? I would tacked on charges of indecent exposure, urinating in a public office and attempted assault with a tiny weapon.
