A few of them, they are very cool

And yes, a little on the eerie side too when you are there by yourself

The best ones are really hard to get to though :(

To get to the really cool ones from here, you would really need to plan a good long day to get there and back out. And lots of hiking at high altitude.

You'd be under constant danger of having the Earth collapse underneath you, or being overcome by toxic fumes. Not really so great a place to visit. If you still crave danger and dark experiences however, bring a hooker to my basement...

Centralia was a mining town. It's literally uninhabitable now because of the underground fires that have been raging for the past 70 years (or so). It's the closest to Hell you can get without being damned.

Coal mining town....in the rugged, high altitude of Pennsylvania...it's gotta be at least what, 200....300 feet above sea level?

This is what you see at a proper ghost mining town ;)

I took this on my trip over Mosquito Pass...it's one of the few buildings left of the London Mines and is at approximately 12,000' (3,657.6 meters) above sea level.

Noooooooo....they are all very dangerous. I'm surprised that thing hasn't fallen off the side of the mountain yet

:hand:

Ghey. There's no danger of a mountain collapsing beneath your feet. You could literally die in Centralia with every step you take.

:-s

A lived-in house can be spooky when you're alone and it's quiet. Just let your imagination wander.

I've been to Barkerville and panned for gold there....it's a ghost town with buildings from the 1800's, similar to what Lance posted.

I did...only 'cuz I used to for a time support their computers. Remoted into their PCs all the time to get rid of viruses! Did lots of BC Heritage buildings which was a cool job.
