Drunk man mistakes police station for casino

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - An Oregon man has been sent to detox after he mistook a Lincoln police station for a casino.

Sgt. John Backer told the Lincoln Journal Star the 21-year-old man was turned away after wandering into the University of Nebraska-Lincoln police station Saturday night and asking about blackjack chips.

The man came back a few minutes later and officers administered a blood-alcohol test. Backer says the man blew a .273 and was sent to detox. His name was not released.

No charges were filed.

Now that's a drunk story I like to hear about. No one was charged with any disorderly conduct, public drunkeness, etc.. and the best part is that the police were nice enough to turn him away once and not do anything til he came back. But I'm sure they've dealt with a lot worse out there. There is nothing to do but drink in Nebraska.

My brother was drunk in a telephone booth once, calling his then girlfriend when a cop walks up. He looks at the cop, hands him his beer, and says "hold this a sec, I gotta piss", then commences to piss in the phone booth on his own feet.... :lol:

The best part was after when he went to hand the cop his I.D and about a half dozen fake ones spilled out of his pocket :lol:

My fave was standing in line for a bar and some young guys ahead of us were already tanked...they were talking loudly about how much they already drank and how much dope they'd smoked.

Some cops walked up to them and they froze.Cops started to ask how much they had to drink and one guy blurts out - WE'VE HAVEN'T BEEN DOING ANY DRUGS, HONEST! WE DON'T EVEN DO DRUGS! DRUGS ARE BAD!!!
