Hello, one and all. I have once more conquered the Atlantic as my family and I are just stopping by on our way to visit the big mouse in Orlando. Why am I visiting a mouse – please don’t ask. Because I don’t know. But it’s nice to have a family again; people who care enough to drag you around this great big planet of ours.

I wanted to visit with all my old cyber-friends again so I stopped by my familiar forum only to find that a brand new place had sprung up in its stead. It was brilliant to be say hello to so many faceless friends after so many months. And, of course, I had to pass through here and say hello to the members of Teh Basement because so many of those old friends appear to have migrated here. Looks like a very nice place you have created. Congratulations, one and all, for what you have accomplished.

This may be my last post for a while. Those of you who may remember me from The-Forum-That-Sadly-No-Longer-Exists may also remember that I am currently on hiatus from the Internet. This is a short but sweet exception that I’ve taken under consent of my better half. Those of you who may not remember me from The-Forum-That-Sadly-No-Longer-Exists will likely – and possibly correctly – assume that I am just spouting a load of bollocks. Internet reality is in the eye of the beholder, of course. Please accept my apology if I’ve just stolen 20 seconds of your life that you’ll never get back.

:dunno:

Lance, a special thank you for the invitation. And also to Cybergirl for giving me the heads-up about Lance’s invitation and to Redred for helping me gain entrance. Cheers, old friends.

I see so many familiar names and faces here so I won’t even begin to start naming names for fear of missing even one of you. You know who you are. I’ve missed you all...and all the silly conversations, the serious conversations, the laughs, the tears, the pictures, the gifs, the jokes, the bold and the barmy. Simply stated, it’s good to be among old friends, if only for a brief moment. Teh Basement is really the bee’s knees. (Ace assortment of emoticons you have assembled – I only wish I had more emotions to express.)

I hope to be able to contribute something at some point.

Best to you all. :bye:

Hi Kevin - Welcome and I hope you can spend some time here. It was your smattering content that first brought me to the "other" site.

Yeah, sometimes you have to ask for clean towels, but they jump right on it when you make the request.

Damn...you have to ask. I thought that that was a design.

You know what I never expected? "Kevin" is over 6'4" tall! I met him, his wife and his daughter last weekend! And he speaks with a real Pierce Brosany British accent. (But he scoffed when I said that! Really, he scoffed!) I should have expected that, but I didn't. I don't know what I expected from all his posts over the years but I was really impressed. Come back and post more, KevinShinnick. I miss you already.

You are a kind and thoughtful man, KS. I am pleased that I had the opportunity to shake your hand, even if mine felt like a limp tuna at the time. You had always been one of the most impressive persons I had never met and now I'm delighted to say that you are one of the most impressive persons I have met. Thank you for your words and for the strength that you imparted to Mrs. T when she needed it most.
