Standing up, Pippa Middleton's outfit looked a perfectly reasonable length.

So when the Duchess of Cambridge's sister took her seat at the Temperley show, she probably didn't anticipate she would be spending most of her time ensuring she didn't reveal too much.

Pippa tried to look relaxed as photographers circled, but her clasped hands holding tightly onto the hemline of her short skirt gave a hint that she was not totally at ease.

She was joined by Peaches Geldof and Rosario Dawson in a star-studded front row.

Pippa's arrival caused a flurry of flashbulbs as the assembled crowd craned their necks for a glimpse of the Duchess of Cambridge's sister.

Wearing a cream and black mini dress she had collected from the Temperley store earlier that day, Pippa was groomed to perfection with glossy curls and immaculate make up (in the same kohl-rimmed style favoured by sister Kate).

Joining Pippa in the front row was actress Rosario Dawson in red lace Temperley, last spotted partying at the Roberto Cavalli store launch on Saturday night.

Newly slender Peaches Geldof completed the stellar line-up, wearing a red slip dress with beaded headdress and red platform shoes.

A fashion week regular, Peaches has been seen front row at a number of shows this week after jetting back from the U.S. where she had attended New York's fashion week.

Pippa used to be a regular at fashion week before she was thrust into the public eye, but this is her first high-profile show since the Royal Wedding.

Rumours had swirled that she might appear at the Issa show last Saturday - both Middleton sisters are ardent fans of the brand - but she did not show up.

Pippa has become close to the label's founder Alice Temperley since having a Temperley gown customised in emerald green to wear at the evening reception of Kate and William's wedding.

Kate is also fond of the label - choosing a Temperley dress to wear to Wimbledon in June which then promptly sold out - but she was not able to attend the show.
