Rooting for Fringe. Expensive show, modest ratings, production costs might the deciding issue.

Being in the "Time Slot of Death" doesn't help its ratings :wha:

The thing is, I don't watch tv by "when it's on" anymore. I download the episodes and watch them when its convenient. I wonder whether that affects ratings for a show like Fringe, which appeals to a geeky crowd(?)

I haven't had a cable tv subscription in 3 years or so. . . About the only thing I miss are live sports, everything else is actually more convenient as a download

Unfortunately, even with as outdated as it is, it's still the Neilsen Ratings that determine the fate of TV shows. I think in this day and age that it's completely ridiculous that TV networks still put any faith in the Neilsen numbers.

I totally agree... the Neilson ratings are dribble. I still can't believe a better system hasn't been put in place

There are only two not safe that I care about:
One Tree Hill (The CW) - not for me, but my girlfriend loves it. I've never seen an episode... I imagine it's awful

Outsourced (NBC) - it's not a great show, but it's funny and I usually watch it because it comes on right after shows that I do like. And I have a HUGE crush on indian girls

Cool, interesting post lance :D

I hope The Event comes back, I like that show. Detroit 187, while it was cool to see a show filmed in Detroit, it was a pretty run of the mill cop show - pretty boring IMO.

Imagine the disappointment in Hollywood after sweeps season when the only guy left with a job is that d-bag Scott Caan

Summer Glau is in it. Love her but the poor girl is like the kiss of death for good TV.
