Yeah, Colorado has really 3 different 'weather zones' if you will. There's the mountains, with their elevation it keeps it a lot cooler, especially considering how far south the state is. Then there's the front range along the mountains where Denver is, and then there's the eastern plains which are dry, dry, dry.

I've lived where it got to 100° and 100% humidity, so I know full well just what that crap feels like and it's uncomfortable as hell too. But you can't do anything outside once it breaks 90° in Denver and the sun is out and there are no clouds and no breeze. You can literally feel the sun burning your skin. It's not pleasant at all. :|
