Police arrested a Tillamook man at the Occupy Portland encampment Tuesday afternoon, saying he had several bags of marijuana.
Officers on patrol at Chapman Square initially thought Timothy Soldani, 36, was drinking alcohol when they asked him to walk out of the park with them to speak privately, the Portland Police Bureau said.
But they said Soldani then showed them what he was holding: not alcohol, but a mason jar with several bags of marijuana.
Soldani was arrested and booked in the Multnomah County Jail on charges of delivery of marijuana and drugs in parks. His bail was set at $22,500.
