9:35 AM PST -- We've learned Lindsay showed up to the morgue at 8:40 AM and was turned away.
9:37 AM PST -- We just got a statement from Lindsay's publicist, who says she arrived approximately 20 minutes late, and her tardiness was due to "a combination of not knowing what entrance to go through and confusion caused by the media waiting for her arrival." The publicist says Lindsay spoke with supervisors at the morgue, they showed her how to get in tomorrow so things are now OK.
Tell that to the judge!

Lindsay Lohan is going to be turned away from the L.A. County Morgue today, because she was late.
Sources at the morgue tell TMZ ... Lindsay was scheduled to be at the morgue at 8 AM. At 7:40, Lindsay's assistant called to say they were 10 minutes away. By 8:20, she was still a no-show.
So officials at the Coroner's Office have decided if Lindsay eventually shows up they will turn her away.
And it gets way worse for Lindsay. We're told the Coroner's Office will notify Probation's Volunteer Center -- which monitors her probation -- that Lindsay screwed up again, and the judge will then be notified.
It's not a violation for her not to show today ... the judge only required that Lindsay put in 16 hours at the morgue by Nov 2. But it's awful for Lindsay and her lawyer, who will try to convince the judge that she's not thumbing her nose at authority.
